2009–10 Reggina Calcio Season
Following are the results of the 2009–10 Reggina Calcio season in Italian football. Reggina Calcio were among the favourites for an immediate return to Serie A, but failed to make a mark in an extremely competitive Serie B, and despite finishing in the midfield, it was long involved in the fight for survival in the second flight. On a positive note, defensive midfielder Carlos Carmona got his breakthrough, and following an inspired showing at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the Chilean was sold to Atalanta for a good income. Reggina Calcio
Reggina 1914 S.r.l., commonly referred to as Reggina, is an Italian football club based in Reggio Calabria. Founded in 1914, they currently play in Serie B, and play their home matches at the 27,763 seater Stadio Oreste Granillo. They are nicknamed the ''amaranto'' (amaranth) after their official dark red colours. The club was formerly known as Reggina Calcio before declaring bankruptcy in 2015, as well as A.S.D. Reggio Calabria in 2015–16 season and Urbs Reggina 1914 from 2016 to 2019. In its previous guise Reggina played in the Serie A for nine seasons between 1999 and 2009, including a seven-year consecutive spell starting in 2002. During these years, the club narrowly avoided relegation in most seasons and never finished in the top half. Pietro Marino
Pietro Marino (born 21 November 1986 in Reggio Calabria) is an Italian professional football player who currently plays for ASD Bocale Calcio ADMO Career He made his Serie A debut for Reggina Calcio on 31 May 2009 when he started the game against A.C. Siena. In the 2009/10 Serie B season he became the first-choice goalkeeper for Reggina in December 2009. Giacomo Tedesco
Giacomo Tedesco (born February 1, 1976 in Palermo) is a former Italian football (soccer) midfielder and football manager. Club career Giacomo Tedesco started his professional career with his hometown club U.S. Città di Palermo in 1994. He remained in the Sicilian capital for 3 seasons, making nearly 70 total appearances and scoring 3 goals. In 1997, he moved to Salernitana, where he would go on to make 133 appearances scoring 13 goals between 1997 and 2002. Although he was loaned out to Napoli, for the 2000–2001 season. Antonino Barillà
Antonino "Nino" Barillà (born 1 April 1988) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for club Viterbese. Club career Barillà made his debut in Serie A with Reggina in the 2005–06 season, on 7 May 2006 against Fiorentina. Barillà scored his first goal against then Serie A club Torino in a Serie A match, the game ended (2–2). José Arnulfo Montiel Núñez (born 19 March 1988 in Asunción) is a Paraguayan footballer who plays as a midfielder for 12 de Octubre. Career At a very young age, Montiel began his career in his hometown team Olimpia, which is a division of Olimpia Asunción in Itauguá city's football league. Maurizio Lanzaro (born 14 March 1982) is an Italian football coach and former player. He is currently in charge as the caretaker of Serie C club Seregno. Simone Rizzato (born 21 September 1981) is a retired Italian professional football player. A left midfielder, he was the former captain of Reggina Calcio.
