2009–10 Oregon Ducks Men's Basketball Team
The 2009–10 Oregon Ducks men's basketball team represented the University of Oregon in the 2009–10 college basketball season. This was head coach Ernie Kent's 13th and final season at Oregon. The Ducks played their home games at McArthur Court and were members of the Pacific-10 Conference. They finished the season 16–16, 7–11 in Pac-10 play and lost in the quarterfinals of the 2010 Pacific-10 Conference men's basketball tournament. They were not invited to a post season tournament and Ernie Kent was fired at the end of the season, leading to an extensive coaching search in the subsequent offseason. Garrett Sim
Garrett Timothy Sim (born July 10, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez for the French Pro A. College career Sim came to the University of Oregon from Sunset High School, where he posted 23 points and 9 assists per game as a senior. As a freshman at Oregon, he started 26 games and set his career high of 28 points against Utah. He had confidence issues as a sophomore and started five games. After the season coach Ernie Kent was fired but Sim remained loyal to the program. As a senior, he averaged 12.2 points and 2.5 assists per game. Professional career Sim played for Science City Jena in 2013-14 and averaged 20.9 points, 5.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Jesuit High School is a private, Catholic, college-preparatory school run by the USA West Province of the Society of Jesus in Beaverton outside Portland, Oregon, United States, in the Archdiocese of Portland. It was founded by the Jesuits in 1956 and uses a Jesuit, college-preparatory curriculum. It is coeducational and enrolls approximately 1,300 students of all faiths. Hales Franciscan High School (known simply as Hales) was a private Catholic high school located in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. Renaissance High School
Renaissance High School is a public high school in the city of Detroit, Michigan. Renaissance is one of four magnet high schools in the Detroit Public Schools district; (the others being Cass Technical High School, Detroit School of Arts, and Communication & Media Arts High School). Founded in 1978 on the former site of Catholic Central High School, Renaissance graduated its first senior class in 1981. In 2005, a new building was dedicated at the site of the former Sinai Hospital. Admissions Admission to the school is selective.
