2009–10 Nevada Wolf Pack Men's Basketball Team
The 2009–10 Nevada Wolf Pack men's basketball team represented the University of Nevada in the 2009–10 college basketball season. This was head coach David Carter's first season as head coach after being a Wolf Pack assistant coach for the previous ten years. They are members of the Western Athletic Conference and play their home games at the Lawlor Events Center. The Wolf Pack finished the season 21–13, 11–5 in WAC play and lost in the semifinals of the 2010 WAC men's basketball tournament. They were invited to the 2010 National Invitation Tournament where they advanced to the second round before falling to Rhode Island. David Carter (basketball Coach)
David Allen Carter (born March 12, 1967) is an American college basketball coach who is an assistant coach at Loyola Marymount University. From 1999 to 2009, Carter was an assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno, under Trent Johnson from 1999 to 2004 and Mark Fox from 2004 to 2009, including as associate head coach beginning in 2005. On April 3, 2009, Carter became head coach after Fox left to become head coach at Georgia. Carter was fired by the University of Nevada, Reno in March 2015. In June, Carter re-joined Saint Mary's as assistant coach, this time under Randy Bennett. Carter was an assistant at Saint Mary's from 1997 to 1999 under Dave Bollwinkel. On June 7, 2017, Carter was once again hired by Fox as an assistant coach, this time for Georgia, replacing former assistant Yasir Rosemond. Forward (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Bishop Manogue Catholic High School is a Catholic high school in Reno, Nevada. It is the only Catholic high school in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Reno and one of only two Catholic high schools in the state of Nevada. History The Catholic high school was established in Reno, Nevada in 1948 and named for the first Bishop of Sacramento, Patrick Manogue. In 1957 the school moved from its location off of Mill Street to 400 Bartlett Street, off of Valley Road, adjacent to the University of Nevada, and was known as "The School on the Hill."
