2009–10 Danish Cup
The 2009–10 Danish Cup was the 56th season of the Danish football cup competition. For the second year, the sponsor of the competition was Ekstra Bladet, a daily newspaper, who signed a 3-year contract with the Danish Football Association (DBU) in 2008, making the official name Ekstra Bladet Cup 2009–10. The competition opened on 8 August 2009 with the First Round and concluded in May 2010 with the Final, held at Parken Stadium. First round In this round entered 95 teams. Due to the odd number of clubs, one club, FC Fyn, received a bye to the Second Round. There were 47 matches in the First Round, taking place between 8–19 August 2009. Danish Cup
The Danish Cup ( da, Landspokalturneringen; often referred to as Pokalen) is the official "knockout" cup competition in Danish football, run by the Danish Football Association. The cup has been contested annually since 1955. The winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League tournament the following year, where they (as of the 2009–10 season) will enter in the third qualifying round. The latest edition, 2017-18 Danish Cup, was won by Superliga-side Brøndby, beating Superliga-side Silkeborg 3–1 on 10 May 2018 at Parken Stadium, thereby winning their first domestic trophy since 2008. The final traditionally takes place on ''Kristi Himmelfarts Dag'' ( The Ascension) and it is always played in the Danish national stadium Parken. Avedøre IF
Avedøre Idrætsforening, commonly known as Avedøre IF, is a sports club based in Avedøre, Hvidovre Municipality, Denmark. The club is mostly known for its association football team that competes in the Denmark Series, the fourth tier of the Danish football league system. Founded in 1932, with the football team being formed in 1973, it is affiliated to the regional DBU Zealand football association. Marienlystcentret is a sports complex located in Odense, Denmark. Varde Idrætsforening is an association football club based in Varde, Southern Jutland, Denmark that competes in the Denmark Series, the fifth tier of the Danish football league system.
