French Television
Television in France was introduced in 1931, Timeline of the introduction of television in countries, when the first experimental broadcasts began. Colour television was introduced in October 1967 on France 2, La Deuxième Chaîne. Digital terrestrial television The digital terrestrial television platform was launched on 31 March 2005 after a short testing period. Like Freeview (UK), Freeview in the UK, it provides many new channels, as well as the current terrestrial television stations. Like the rest of Europe, France uses the DVB-T transmission technology. The 13 first digital free channels were launched on 31 March 2005. In October, 4 additional free channels were added: the 24h news channels BFM TV and I-Télé, the music and entertainment youth channel Europe 2 TV, and the free children channel Gulli, joint-venture between Lagardère Active and France Télévisions. ''Le Jour du Seigneur'' (English: The Day of God) is a France 2 religious programme that presents Christianity, usually broadcasting Catholic mass and services, amongst other things related to religion. 2Be3
2Be3 was a French boy band that was active from 1996 to 2001. History 2Be3 was formed in 1996 and comprised three childhood friends from Longjumeau (a suburb of Paris): Filip Nikolic, Adel Kachermi and Frank Delay. Inspired by English bands like Take That and Worlds Apart, the group produced 3 studio albums and various compilations before disbanding in 2001. The name 2Be3 was a pun on the English language phrases ''to be free'' (in French, "être libre") and ''to be three'' ("être trois"). Hence the band's name was pronounced in English ("Two Be Three") rather than French ("Deux Be Trois"). Hugely popular in France, despite attempts to break the American and British markets (via an English-language single, ''Excuse My French'', produced in Miami by Desmond Child), their only significant chart success occurred in their home nation. Filip Nikolic ( Serbian: Филип Николић, ''Filip Nikolić''; 1 September 1974 – 16 September 2009) was a French actor and singer of Serbian extraction, best known as the lead of the French boy-band 2Be3. Born at Saint-Ouen, Seine-Saint-Denis, he was raised with two siblings in Longjumeau, a suburb of Paris. Filip was a French singer, but he also featured in acting roles in a TV shows such as ''Navarro'' and ''Pour être libre'', a series centred on 2Be3. ''Secret Story'' is the original French version of the reality show ''Secret Story''. The show inherits more or less the fundamental principles of '' Big Brother'', a reality show created by producer John de Mol in 1997. It's the second French adaptation of ''Big Brother'', after two seasons of '' Loft Story'', the first French adaptation of ''Big Brother'', hosted by Benjamin Castaldi in 2001 and 2002 on M6. ''Plus belle la vie'' (More beautiful life) is a French television soap opera based on an idea by Hubert Besson and characters created by Georges Desmouceaux, Bénédicte Achard, Magaly Richard-Serrano and Olivier Szulzynger. On air since 30 August 2004, it is currently shown on France 3 on Monday to Friday evenings at 8:15 p.m. The show began with 17 main actors and gained more later. 30 millions d'amis (English: "30 million friends") is a French television program, a French monthly magazine with its posters, and a French foundation: the Fondation 30 Millions d'Amis. All three focus on pets, especially cats, dogs, horses, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, mice, canaries, parakeets, parrots, terrarium reptiles, goldfish, aquarium fish, and other exotic pets, but also wild animals like for example, bonobos and cheetahs. Television program The first episode of the program, initiative of the French journalist Jean-Pierre Hutin, who was worried about the fate of pets, was broadcast on 6 January 1976 on TF1. ''Présence protestante'' is a France 2 religious programme that presents Protestant Christianity. It has been produced since the 1950s broadcast every Sunday morning since October 9, 1955. History Présence protestante debuted on October 2, 1955 which was presented by Marcel Gosselin, under the leadership of Marc Boegner who was the president of the Protestant Federation of France. It was broadcast RTF, it was originally titled Émission protestante, then it renamed the Présence protestante based on a similar french-speaking Swiss program. ''La France a un incroyable talent'' ( en, France's Got Incredible Talent), previously known as ''Incroyable Talent'', is a French TV show, based on the ''Got Talent'' series. It debuted on M6 on 2 November 2006, presented by Alessandra Sublet. Summary Season 1 (2006) The 1st season of the show was presented by Alessandra Sublet, and aired on M6 from November 2, 2006 to December 12, 2006. It was produced by Sébastien Zibi. The judging panel consisted of Gilbert Rozon, Sophie Edelstein and Jean-Pierre Domboy. The first season of the show attracted 5 million viewers. The grand prize was €150,000 and was won by dancer Salah Benlemqawanssa. This was the first ''Got Talent'' season that was won by Salah, who also won the 4th season of ''Arab's Got Talent'' in 2014. Soan (singer)
Julien Decroix, better known as Soan, (born on 4 May 1981) is a French singer-songwriter who won in 2009 the seventh season of the French music competition ''Nouvelle Star''. Beginnings Soan left home at 17 over family discords and traveled a lot as a singer to earn his living but without notable success. He also sang at Paris Metro underground train stations. ''Nouvelle Star'' At 27, he took part in the Paris auditions of ''Nouvelle Star'' (French version of ''Idol'') and was accepted to qualification rounds, without his audition being shown on the program. His rendition in the second round was also not shown. His first showing on the broadcast series was while doing a trio interpretation of BB Brunes's ''Dis-moi'' with two other candidates after which went to the lives rounds. Sébastien Agius or just Sébastien or Seva (born 2 March 1983, in Nice, France) is a French singer and songwriter, and winner of the inaugural season of the French ''X Factor'' series in 2009. Career In 2003, he tried unsuccessfully for the first-ever series of the French singing competition ''Nouvelle Star''. He was touring many years in ''Gospel pour 100 voix''. Since then, he has had many concerts and taken part in musicals. In 2007, he created the musical ''Hé l'artiste!'' with participation of 25 artists.
