2009 Tour Of Britain
The 2009 Tour of Britain was a UCI 2.1 category race of eight stages from 12 September till 19 September 2009. The race was the sixth edition of the latest version of the Tour of Britain and the seventieth British tour in total. It formed part of the 2008–2009 UCI Europe Tour. The race begun in Scunthorpe and ended with a circuit stage in London. Edvald Boasson Hagen
Edvald Boasson Hagen (born 17 May 1987) is a Norwegian professional road racing cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam . He was ranked as no. 3 in the world by UCI as of 31 August 2009, when he was 22 years old. He is known as an all-rounder, having won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships in 2012, 2015 and 2016. He is also a ten-time winner of the Norwegian National Time Trial Championships. Professional career Maxbo–Bianchi (2006–07) Boasson Hagen joined the Norwegian continental team in 2006 and in his first season in the continental circuits he took eight wins including three stages of the Tour de l'Avenir. Team Halfords Bikehut
Team Halfords Bikehut was a 2008 UCI elite women's cycling team based in the United Kingdom. The team was formed in January 2008 with Dave Brailsford, performance director of British Cycling, the general manager. It had been a pro/national team mooted as the first full British professional women's team but there were two men in the team ( Rob Hayles and Tom Southam). The team was in 2009 not an UCI Women's Teams anymore and consisted of a mix of mountain bikers and road racers (mainly men): Rob Hayles, Ed Clancy, Ian Wilkinson, Andy Tennant, Mark McNally, Rob Partridge, Seb Batchelor, David Fletcher, Annie Last, Sharon Laws, Ian Bibby. Lloyd Mondory
Lloyd Mondory (born 26 April 1982) is a French restaurateur and former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2004 and 2015 for the team before he was suspended for four years for the use of erythropoietin (EPO). The biggest results of his career included victory in the 2008 Grand Prix of Aargau Canton, stage wins in the Étoile de Bessèges, the Vuelta a Burgos and the Paris–Corrèze and second place in a stage of the 2008 Vuelta a España. In March 2015, it was announced that Mondory had tested positive for erythropoietin (EPO) in an out-of-competition test taken on 17 February. On 30 October 2015, the UCI announced that Mondory was suspended until 9 March 2019. Russell Downing (born 23 August 1978) is an English former professional cyclist, who rode competitively between 1999 and 2019 for numerous teams, such as and . He is the younger brother of fellow cyclist Dean Downing, and both brothers competed largely on the UCI Continental Tour and in British Premier Calendar races.
