2009 RBS Twenty-20 Cup
The 2009 RBS Twenty-20 Cup was the fifth edition of the RBS Twenty-20 Cup, a domestic Twenty20 tournament in Pakistan. It was held in Lahore from 25 to 29 May 2009. The Sialkot Stallions won their fourth overall and consecutive title by defeating the Lahore Lions in the final. This tournament was held immediately before the 2009 ICC World Twenty20, which Pakistan won. Pakistan Cricket Board
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is a sports governing body for cricket in Pakistan responsible for controlling and organising all tours and matches undertaken by the Pakistan national cricket team. A member of the International Cricket Council since 1952, it represents the country's men's and women's national teams in international cricket tournaments played under the ICC. Following the establishment of Pakistan as an independent dominion of the British Empire in 1947, professional and amateur cricket commenced in the same year, seeing as local infrastructure had already been established when the country was part of the British Raj. Cricket matches were arranged informally until 1948, when a Board of Control was formally instituted. Umar Akmal
Umar Akmal (Urdu, pa, ; born 26 May 1990) is a Pakistani cricketer who played for Pakistan national cricket team between 2009 and 2019. He was banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board for eighteen months for not disclosing offers related to spot fixing until August 2021. Awais Zia (; born 1 September 1986) is a Pakistani cricketer. He is primarily a left handed batsman and right arm off spin bowler. Domestic and franchise career As a youngster, Zia got introduced to the game playing street cricket in his village of Bhaun, before playing club cricket in Chakwal. Zia was encouraged to attend local trials, where he came to the attention of Jhelum coaches, who offered him a place in the Jhelum team.
