Club Valencia are the defending champions, having defeated Victory Sports Club in last season's final. Victory Sports Club is a Maldivian sports club based in Malé and founded 3 July 1971, that includes a football team amongst other sports. Victory is one of the most successful football clubs in Maldives, winning a record 21 National Championships. They have also won the Dhivehi League (founded in 2000) twice, and the national FA Cup four times. Mukhthar Naseer
Mukhthar Naseer is a Maldivian international footballer, who is currently plays for New Radiant SC in the Maldives. Mukhtar is from Thoddoo, Alif Alif Atoll. Career He was first noticed while playing for Rasdhoo football team in zone football tournament by Laszlo Kiss and he brought Two Kilo to Valencia. He is best known for his dribbling skills and fast speed. International He scored the winning goal for the Maldives against India in the final of the 2008 SAFF Championship. Ali Nafiu
ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, عَلِيّ بْن أَبِي طَالِب; 600 – 661 CE) was the last of four Rightly Guided Caliphs to rule Islam (r. 656 – 661) immediately after the death of Muhammad, and he was the first Shia Imam. The issue of his succession caused a major rift between Muslims and divided them into Shia and Sunni groups. Ali Umar, Commissioner of Sports of Maldives (born 5 August 1980) is a Maldivian former footballer until his retirement in 2013. After he retired, he became a Member of the normalization committee appointed by FIFA to Football Association of Maldives from 2 December 2014 to 31 May 2016. Later he was elected to vice president and as an executive committee member for Football Association of Maldives. In 27 March 2018 he was appointed as the Commissioner of Sports of Maldives. Ali Ashfaq
Ali Ashfaq (; born 6 September 1985) is a Maldivian professional footballer who plays as a forward and captains the Maldives national team. Nicknamed "Man of Steel" (), he is regarded as one of the best players in the South Asian region. A prolific and individualistic goalscorer, he is a free-kick specialist and a clinical finisher. His trademark style of scoring is beating the defenders and rounding off the keeper to score.
