It began with a 3–0 loss at expansion Seattle Sounders FC on March 19, and ended on October 24 with a 5–0 win over Toronto FC, the last match ever played by the team in Giants Stadium. The New York Red Bulls are an American professional soccer club based in the New York metropolitan area. The Red Bulls compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. The club was established in October 1994 and began play in the league's inaugural season in 1996 as the New York/New Jersey MetroStars. In 2006, the team was sold to Red Bull GmbH and re-branded as part of the company's global network of soccer clubs, hence its current name. The Red Bulls have played their home matches at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey since 2010, having previously played at Giants Stadium. Juan Pablo Ángel Arango (born 24 October 1975) is a Colombian former footballer who last played as a striker for Atlético Nacional in Categoría Primera A. He began his career at Nacional, whom he helped to win the championship in 1994, and then moved to River Plate of Argentina, where he was the league's top scorer in 2000. The following year he moved to Europe, joining Aston Villa of the Premier League for a club record £9.5 million. Nick Zimmerman (born May 3, 1987 in Tampa, Florida) is an American soccer player. Career Coaching Zimmerman began coaching in 2015 for Columbus State University's women's soccer program, a Division II school in Columbus, GA, as the assistant coach under Jay Entlich. College and amateur Zimmerman played college soccer for James Madison University from 2005 to 2008. In his four years with James Madison, he appeared in 75 matches scoring 13 goals. He was primarily used as a central midfielder. In 2007, he also played club soccer for a top Florida youth club, HC United. He also played for Brandon Flames and Temple Terrace Spirit. Ernst Öbster (born March 17, 1984) is an Austrian footballer who plays for SV Friedburg. Career Club Öbster began his youth career with SK Bischofshofen and in 2001 joined BNZ Salzburg. After impressing with BNZ, Öbster was called up by the SV Austria Salzburg first team and debuted in the Austrian Bundesliga as a 17-year-old. Walter Ariel García (born March 14, 1984) is an Argentine former footballer. Career Club García started his career with Argentinos Juniors in 2001, but in 2002 the club was relegated to the Argentine 2nd division. After staying with the club for a further season he returned to the Primera with Club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro one of the top five clubs (''cinco grandes'') in Argentine football. Dane O'Brian Richards (born 14 December 1983) is a Jamaican former professional footballer, who played as a winger. He spent the majority of his career with Major League Soccer club New York Red Bulls. John Wolyniec
John Wolyniec (born January 24, 1977) is an American professional soccer coach and former player. During his playing days, Wolyniec played for Major League Soccer club New York Red Bulls three separate times: In 1999 as the MetroStars, from 2003 to 2005 as the MetroStars, and from 2006 until he retired in 2010. Jorge Alberto Rojas Méndez (born January 10, 1977 in Mérida) is a Venezuelan former footballer. Mike Petke (born January 30, 1976) is an American former soccer player and coach who was most recently head coach of Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake. Prior to his tenure with Real Salt Lake, he was head coach of the New York Red Bulls, leading them to the Supporters' Shield in 2013.
