2008–09 New Zealand V8 Season
The 2008–09 New Zealand V8 season began at Taupo on 3–5 October 2008 and finished at Hamilton near Auckland on 17–19 April 2009 after seven championship meetings and one season-ending non-championship event. Kayne Scott overturned a 38-point deficit heading into the final round at Pukekohe Park Raceway, to finish as champion; winning the title by nine points ahead of John McIntyre. Teams and drivers The following teams and drivers are competing in the current series. Points structure Each championship round consists of three races, one on Saturday afternoon, one on Sunday morning and a final reverse grid race on Sunday afternoon. New Zealand V8s
The New Zealand Touring Cars Championship (currently known as the Racer Products V8s for commercial reasons) is a New Zealand-based motorsport category of touring car racing. MotorSport New Zealand, New Zealand's national governing and sanctioning body for motorsport, awarded the category "New Zealand Touring Car Championship" title status in 1996. Since being awarded national championship title status, drivers and teams across New Zealand had raced in what was at the time New Zealand's premier motorsport category. Luke Youlden
Luke Youlden (born 28 January 1978) is an Australian Supercars series racing driver. He is the son of two-time Australian Production Car champion Kent Youlden. Youlden currently drives for Kelly Grove Racing as a co-driver alongside David Reynolds in the No. 26 Ford Mustang GT. Outside racing, Youlden works at a performance driving school with fellow Supercars racer Dean Canto. He co-drove to victory with David Reynolds in the 2017 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000. Andy Booth (born 2 June 1974) is a New Zealand racing driver. A relatively late starter in motorsport, Booth never raced karts, and only competed in a handful of Formula Ford events in New Zealand before heading to the UK where he spent several years successfully campaigning in the Slick 50 Formula Ford Championship, and later in the Formula Palmer Audi series.
