2008–09 KF Tirana Season
The 2008–09 season was KF Tirana, Klubi i Futbollit Tirana's 70th competitive season, 70th consecutive season in the Kategoria Superiore and 88th year in existence as a football club. Season overview In October 2008, Tirana won the inaugural Taçi Oil Cup by beating then-FIFA Club World Cup winners A.C. Milan, Milan 2–1 with goals scored by Daniel Xhafaj and Gjergji Muzaka, Muzaka. Later on 10 December, manager Blaz Sliskovic was sacked by president Refik Halili after collecting only one win in the last seven league matches. He was replaced by club legend Agustin Kola who led the team until May of the following year. Tirana won their 24th championship in history on 23 May 2009 by winning 2–1 at home against KF Vllaznia Shkodër, Vllaznia Shkodër in the final matchday. KF Tirana
Klubi i Futbollit Tirana (KF Tirana) is an Albanian football club based in the country's capital city, Tirana. The men's football club is part of the multi-disciplinary sports club SK Tirana, and is the most successful in Albania, having won 54 recognized major domestic trophies. They play their home games at the Selman Stërmasi Stadium in Tirana and they play in the Kategoria Superiore. The club was founded on 15 August 1920 as Sport Klub Tirana (in English: Sport Club Tirana), but then, they name changed to Shoqata e Futbollit Agimi (in English: Agimi Football Association) and they had since participated in List of unrelegated association football clubs, all the top tier national championships ever held in Albania. FIFA Club World Cup
The FIFA Club World Cup is an international men's association football competition organised by the ''Fédération Internationale de Football Association'' ( FIFA), the sport's global governing body. Enri Tafaj
Enri Tafaj (born 22 May 1989) is an Albanian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Club career Tafaj began his career in 2007 with KF Tirana after working his way up through the youth setup at the club. He joined up with the first team during the winter break in the 2006–07 season. He made his league debut with KF Tirana in round 32 of the 2006–07 Albanian Superliga season on 12 May 2007. The match was against Teuta Durres at the Niko Dovana Stadium. Tafaj started the game and played the whole 90 minutes. He made no further Superliga appearances for Tirana, and in January 2009 he joined KS Dajti on loan for the rest of the season to gain experience. Blendi Nallbani
Blendi Nallbani (born 30 May 1971 in Tiranë) is a retired Albanian professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Nallbani was a member of the Albania national team prior to his international retirement in 2002. Nicknamed ''Tata'', he is the second youngest player to play for the national team only aged 17 at Wembley. He also holds many records, such as joint most Albanian Superliga winner and the player with the most matches in Albanian Superliga. Selman Stërmasi Stadium
The Selman Stërmasi Stadium ( sq, Stadiumi Selman Stërmasi) is a multi-purpose stadium in Tirana, Albania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of KF Tirana. The stadium holds 9,500 people (all seated). It is named after Selman Stërmasi, one of KF Tirana's best players of all time. The stadium was also used by Dinamo and Partizani until 2010, however, due to failure to cooperate on the admittance fees, these teams were not allowed to use the stadium any further.
