The Cornwall League 2 2008–09 was a full season of rugby union within Cornwall League 2. This was the last time Cornwall League 2 ran until the 2011-12 season, due to restructuring. Team Changes The number of teams in the Cornwall/Devon League increased from 12 teams to 16 for the following 2009-10 season, therefore the two Cornwall Leagues combined to form a single division of 12 teams, in Cornwall League 1. Veor
Veor Rugby Football Club is a Cornish and English rugby union football club based in Camborne, Cornwall. The club, founded in 1966, play in amber and black at the Holmans Sports Centre.Cornwall RFU Handbook. 2010–11. They are one of two teams in the town, along with illustrious neighbours, Camborne RFC. They currently play in Cornwall/Devon - a league at level 8 of the English rugby union system - following their promotion as champions of Cornwall 1 at the end of the 2018–19 season. The Cornwall League 1 2009–10 was a full season of rugby union within Cornwall League 1. Team Changes Roseland, as Champions, were promoted to the Tribute Cornwall/Devon League for season 2010-11. In the play-off for promotion to the Cornwall/Devon league, Veor lost to Honiton (12 - 43) and remained in the Tribute Cornwall League for the following season. Cornwall League 2
Counties 3 Cornwall (formerly known as Tribute Cornwall League 2) is an English level nine rugby union league for clubs based in Cornwall. The champions and runner-up are promoted to Counties 2 Cornwall (formerly Cornwall League 1); there is no relegation. The league ran continuously since 1987–88, except for a two-season break, when Cornwall 2 combined with Cornwall League 1 for seasons 2009–10 and 2010–11. The competition recommenced in 2011–12 when it was decided to form two leagues of seven teams each. For the 2016–17 season Cornwall 1 and Cornwall 2 were amalgamated to create the Cornwall League with fifteen teams playing each other once in the first phase. After Christmas the teams split into two leagues with the top eight playing in Cornwall One and the remainder playing in Cornwall Two. Tribute Cornwall/Devon
Cornwall/Devon League (known as Tribute Cornwall/Devon League for sponsorship reasons) was an English level eight, rugby union league for clubs principally based in Cornwall and Devon. Following the reorganisation of the English rugby union leagues in 2022, the league was replaced by two level eight leagues based in Cornwall and Devon. The Pirates Amateurs won the last competition in season 2021–22 and were promoted to Counties 1 Western West Format The champions and runner-up were promoted to Western Counties West. Counties 2 Cornwall (sponsored by St Austell Brewery using the Tribute brand name) is an English level eight rugby union league for clubs based in Cornwall. The champions are promoted to Counties 1 Western West and two teams are relegated to Counties 3 Cornwall. For the first time, reserve teams are allowed to participate. The current champions are St Ives RFC (Cornwall). Until the 2021–22 it was known as Tribute Cornwall League 1 and was a level nine league. It has been running continually since the 1987–88 season. The champions were promoted to the Cornwall/Devon, and the runner-up played the second team in Devon 1, with the winning team also gaining promotion.
