2008 UEC European Track Championships – Women's Omnium
The Women's Omnium was the only elite women's events at the 2008 European Track Championships held in Pruszków, Poland and took place at 3 September. The omnium consisted of four events: elimination race, scratch race, 3000m individual pursuit and a points race. Seventeen cyclists participated in the women's omnium. UEC European Champion Jersey
The UEC European Champion jersey is the distinctive, identifiable jersey that the winner of a bicycle race receives at European Cycling Championships organized by the European Cycling Union (UEC), such as the European Road Championships and the European Track Championships. The jersey is predominantly blue with gold European stars. The jerseys are awarded in all cycling disciplines, including road cycling, track cycling, cyclo-cross, BMX, mountain biking and indoor cycling. The jerseys are provided by Santini SMS. Debora Racing cars is a small French car builder, popular with private racing teams, based in Besançon, France. Teams generally use their chassis to take part in Le Mans style endurance racing such as Magny Cours, Jarama and le Mans. Drivers also tend to be French with Bruno Boccard and David Dusseau being two of the more famous. Debora use an LMP Le Mans Prototype type 1 body shell over a mid-engined chassis with open driving seat in the bodywork. Their Type 2 LMP with closed bodywork owes much to the Courage and is a truly beautiful piece of engineering.
