Kaarle McCulloch (born 20 January 1988) is an Australian former professional track cyclist and four time World Champion in the team sprint. She also won three golds at the Commonwealth Games and an Olympic bronze medal. She qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and rode in two events, the Women's Keirin where she came ninth, and the Women's Sprint where she came thirteenth. Early years McCulloch grew up in Gymea New South Wales. She was a promising middle-distance runner and won middle-distance championships in the 400 metres and 800 metres events when she was 14,15 and 16. Shanaze Danielle Reade (born 23 September 1988 in Crewe, Cheshire, United Kingdom) is a British former bicycle motocross (BMX) racer and track cyclist whose prime competitive years began in 2002. She has won the UCI BMX World Championships three times. Reade is the daughter of a Jamaican father and an Irish mother. Early years Reade was primarily raised by her grandparents after her mother gave birth to her at the age of 17. Miriam Welte (born 9 December 1986) is a German track cyclist. Career At the 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Melbourne, Welte and Kristina Vogel won the gold medal in the team sprint. They set a world record in qualifying which they broke again in the final. On 22 June 2012, she set a new world record of 10.643 seconds in the individual sprint event. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she and Vogel won the team sprint gold medal. Welte was trained by her step-father, Frank Ziegler.
