2007–08 Panathinaikos F.C. Season
In the 2007–08 season Panathinaikos played for 49th consecutive time in Greece's top division, Super League. They also competed in UEFA Cup and Greek Cup. Season started with José Peseiro as team manager. In summer of 2007 many players left the club including Igor Bišćan and Víctor Sánchez who hadn't fulfilled the expectations of Panathinaikos' fans with their performance. On the other end the return of Giorgos Karagounis after four years pulled the spotlight and considered one of the most important signings of the 2007 summer transfer window. Sebastián Ariel Romero (born 27 April 1978, in Berisso), nicknamed ''Chirola'', is an Argentine football coach and former player who played as a winger. Giannis Goumas ( el, Γιάννης Γκούμας, born 24 May 1975) is a Greek professional football manager and former player, who spent his whole senior career at Panathinaikos. Sotiris Ninis ( el, Σωτήρης Νίνης; born 3 April 1990) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a right winger for Super League club PAS Giannina. Mogammat Nasief Morris (born 16 April 1981) is a South African former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Joseph Enakarhire (born 6 November 1982) is a Nigerian former professional footballer. He could play as either a right back or a central defender. Mario Galinović (born 15 November 1976) is a former Croatian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career NK Osijek Galinović started his professional career with Croatian First League side NK Osijek, where he was part of the first team from 1993 until 2002.
