2007–08 Ohio Bobcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2007–08 Ohio Bobcats men's basketball team represented Ohio University in the college basketball season of 2007–08. The team was coached by Tim O'Shea and played their home games at the Convocation Center. They finished the season 20–13 and 9–7 in MAC play to finish tied for third in the MAC East. Tim O'Shea
Tim O'Shea (born January 13, 1962) is an American college basketball coach, most recently the head coach of the men's basketball team at Bryant University. He was previously the head coach at Ohio University. Playing career Born in Woodbury, New Jersey, O'Shea earned All-America accolades while playing at Wayland High School in Wayland, Massachusetts. He played college basketball at Boston College from 1980 to 1984 under Gary Williams. During his time at BC, O'Shea and the Eagles won two Big East regular-season titles. O'Shea also earned four postseason tournament berths during his career, with BC advancing twice to the NCAA tournament Sweet Sixteen and once to the Elite Eight. O'Shea earned a bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in English from Boston College in 1984, then added a master's degree in counseling/psychology from BC two years later. Hankamer, Texas
Hankamer is an unincorporated populated place in northern Chambers County, Texas, United States. It is located northeast of Lake Anahuac adjacent to Wallisville on Highway 61. Historical development In the spring of 1904, a post office was established at Hankamer with Ira Alvan Hankamer (1869-1945) designated as postmaster on May 24. The town took his name. Ira was a son of settler John William Hankamer (1834 - 1907) who arrived in Texas in 1845 with his brothers Charles and Frederick, mother Johannette, and stepfather John Stengler, who sailed on the Harriet from Prussia to Galveston. They became citizens of the Republic of Texas. The Hankamers and Stenglers had planned to settle in the New Braunfels - Fredericksburg area, but news of Indian trouble prompted them to choose the area north of Anahuac. A grandson of Ira A. New Mexico State Aggies Men's Basketball
The New Mexico State Aggies men's basketball team represents New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Founded in 1904, the Aggies currently compete in the Western Athletic Conference and last played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2022. Leon Williams (basketball, Born 1986)
Leon Vernon Williams Jr. (born July 24, 1986) is an American professional basketball player. Career Williams graduated from the Cardinal Gibbons School in 2004. After high school, Williams played college basketball for Ohio University from 2004 to 2008, during that time he also played in the summer league Belize Elite Basketball League for the Belize Bank Bulldogs. After graduating in 2008, Williams started his professional career in Turkey where he played for two years for Pınar Karşıyaka and then Erdemir where he was the top rebounder of the Turkish Basketball League in both seasons. The 2007–2008 Western Michigan Broncos men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team competing in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The Broncos, 20–12 overall and 12–4 in the conference, captured the MAC West Division championship by four games and earned the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. WMU reached the semi-finals of the MAC tournament before falling to No. 3 seed Akron.
