The 2007–08 Superliga Espanola de Hockey Hielo season was the 34th season of the Superliga Espanola de Hockey Hielo, the top level of ice hockey in Spain. Six teams participated in the league, and CG Puigcerda won the championship. Superliga Espanola De Hockey Hielo
The National Ice Hockey League ( es, Liga Nacional de Hockey sobre Hielo) is the top men's ice hockey league in Spain. Its governing body is the Royal Spanish Ice Sports Federation. History Liga Nacional de Hockey Hielo was established in 1972 as the ''Superliga Española de Hockey Hielo''. There were six founding teams which participated in the first season, 1972–73: Real Sociedad, CH Jaca, CH Valladolid, CG Puigcerdà, CH Madrid and CF Barcelona. In 2011, the league was composed of eight teams, but due to financial problems in almost all clubs, the league has reduced the number of participants year after year until only five of them were left. In the season 2021/2022 in order to grow ice hockey in Spain, two teams composed of non-Spanish people, and one composed of Spanish players, joined the league, bringing the number of teams back to eight, with the door open to new ones in the future. Club Gel Puigcerdà is an ice hockey club in Puigcerdà, Spain. They play in the Spanish League and their home arena is the Club Poliesportiu Puigcerdà. History Club Gel Puigcerdà was born in 1956 when a team created in the school Pensionat d'Alta Muntanya played the first match on the frozen lake of Puigcerdà Puigcerdà (; es, Puigcerdá) is the capital of the '' Catalan comarca'' of Cerdanya, in the province of Girona, Catalonia, northern Spain, near the Segre River and on the border with France (it abuts directly onto the French town of Bourg-Ma .... Anglet Hormadi Pays Basque is an ice hockey team in Anglet, France. They play in the Ligue Magnus, the highest level of ice hockey in France. The club was runner-up (Ligue Magnus) in 2001. Due to Anglet's location in the French Basque Country, they also participated in the Superliga Espanola de Hockey Hielo, the top level Spanish league in 2007–08 and 2008–09. History Anglet Hormadi Élite was founded in 1969 and first took part in the Ligue Magnus, the top level French league, in the 1996–97 season. During the 1994–95 NHL Lockout, Brian Propp joined Hormadi. In the 2000–01 season, the club lost in the final of the Ligue Magnus. Two years later Anglet made it to the final of the Coupe de France, but were defeated. FC Barcelona Ice Hockey is an ice hockey club in Barcelona, Catalonia, that is part of FC Barcelona club. They currently play in the Spanish League and their home arena is the Palau de Gel. Majadahonda HC
Majadahonda HC (previously known as CH Majadahonda) is an ice hockey team in Majadahonda, Spain. They play in the Liga Nacional de Hockey Hielo. History They were founded in 1992 to replace CH Boadilla, which had folded two years earlier. The club did not participate in the Superliga from 2002-2004, but returned to the league in 2004 and has played there ever since.
