The 2007–08 Alberta Pandas women's ice hockey was the eleventh Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS; renamed U Sports in 2016) season completed by the program. The Pandas finished the season ranked first in the Canada West conference with 21 wins, compared to 2 losses and one overtime loss. Judy Diduck
Judy Diduck ( ; born April 21, 1966) is a retired Canadian ringette and ice hockey player. Diduck was born in Edmonton, Alberta, but grew up in Sherwood Park, Alberta. She competed in the first World Ringette Championships in 1990 for Team Alberta who became the first world champions in the sport. In 2005, she was inducted into the Ringette Canada Hall of Fame. Diduck is also a former member of the Canada women's national ice hockey team. Playing career Ringette Diduck was one of the first players to join ringette when the sport was first introduced to Alberta in Sherwood Park. From 1979 to 1983, Judy competed in the first five consecutive Canadian Ringette Championships and she also played on the gold medal winning Team Alberta in the first World Ringette Championships in 1990 which resulted in her being inducted in the Ringette Canada Hall of Fame in 2005 as a member of Team Alberta who won the world title. Manitoba Bisons Women's Ice Hockey
The Manitoba Bisons are an ice hockey team that represents the University of Manitoba. They compete in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport athletic program. Home games are contested at the Wayne Fleming Arena (located at 109 Sidney Smith St) in Winnipeg, Manitoba. History On March 22, 2009, the Bisons challenged the Moncton Aigles Bleues women's ice hockey program in the bronze medal game of the 2009 CIS national women's ice hockey championship. Marieve Provost of Moncton scored the game-winner in a shootout with a 3-2 victory over Manitoba, as Moncton captured the Atlantic conference's first-ever medal at the CIS women's hockey championship. Alberta Pandas Women's Ice Hockey
The Alberta Pandas ice hockey team represents the University of Alberta in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association of U Sports. Since joining U Sports (then called the Canadian Interuniversity Athletics Union, followed by Canadian Interuniversity Sport in 2001) in 1997, the women's ice hockey team has been led by head coach Howie Draper. The program has won the most Canada West conference championships with 14 and the most U Sports national championships with eight. On January 25, 2011, it was announced that the 1999-2000 University of Alberta Pandas hockey team would be inducted into the Alberta Hockey Hall of Fame. The Alberta Pandas will represent the University of Alberta in the 2009-10 Canadian Interuniversity Sport women's hockey season. The Pandas won the Canadian Interuniversity Sport women's ice hockey championship. The McGill Martlets ice hockey team represents McGill University, based in Montreal, Quebec in U Sports women's ice hockey. They are members of the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) and have won four U Sports women's ice hockey championships. The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks women's ice hockey team is the women's college ice hockey team that represents the Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. The team competes as a member of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA), under the U Sports association. The Golden Hawks play their home games at Sunlife Financial Arena. Dave Marcinyshyn
David Joseph Marcinyshyn (born February 4, 1967) is a Canadians, Canadian retired professional ice hockey Defenceman (ice hockey), defenceman. Marcinyshyn was born in Edmonton, Alberta. Undrafted in the NHL Entry Draft, Marcinyshyn signed with the New Jersey Devils in 1987 and made his NHL debut for the Devils during the 1990–91 NHL season playing nine games in total and spent four seasons with the American Hockey League's Utica Devils. In 1991, he was traded to the Quebec Nordiques for Brent Severyn and played five games for the team. He moved to the New York Rangers in 1992 and managed just two games for them. In total, Marcinyshyn played 16 regular season games, scoring one assist and collected 49 penalty minutes. He then spent four seasons in the International Hockey League (1945-2001), International Hockey League before moving to the Deutsche Eishockey Liga in Germany in two seasons before retiring in 1999.
