Latin Music (genre)
Latin music (Portuguese and es, música latina) is a term used by the music industry as a catch-all category for various styles of music from Ibero-America (including Spain and Portugal) and the Latino United States inspired by Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese music genres, as well as music that is sung in either Spanish and/or Portuguese. Terminology and categorization Because the majority of Latino immigrants living in New York City in the 1950s were of Puerto Rican or Cuban descent, "Latin music" had been stereotyped as music simply originating from the Spanish Caribbean. Since then, the music industry classifies all music sung in Spanish or Portuguese as Latin music, including musics from Spain and Portugal. Following protests from Latinos in New York, a category for Latin music was created by National Recording Ac ...

Conjunto Primavera
Conjunto Primavera is a Mexican Norteño-Sax band from Ojinaga, Chihuahua. In the 1990s and 2000s they were one of the most popular acts in Regional Mexican music. History Conjunto Primavera was formed on the first day of spring in 1978 by the saxophonist Juan Dominguez. They remained a local act for several years, but starting in 1980, they signed with an indie label, Joey Records, in San Antonio, Texas. It was at Joey Records that Conjunto Primavera would not only record popular covers such as "La Sirenita", "Paloma Querida", and "Noches Eternas", but also subsequent fan favorites such as "Borracho Y Loco", "Cuatro Primaveras", and "10 Kilometros." However, the group was still far from popular. Duranguense
Duranguense is a genre of Regional Mexican music. It is a hybrid of Technobanda and Tamborazo. Its popularity peaked in the mid to late 2000s among the Mexican and Mexican American community in the United States, as well as in many parts of Mexico. The instruments held over from tamborazo are the saxophone, trombone, and tambora, while the instruments held over from technobanda are the electronic keyboard (more specifically the Korg X3, Korg N364, which are used for the main melody and the Yamaha DX7, which is used by many bands for the bass section), drum set, and vocals. The electronic keyboard is emphasized in Duranguense, giving the genre its own signature riff. The genre popularized the dance style, Pasito Duranguense. Styles of lyrical and instrumental songs performed in Duranguense include rancheras, corridos, cumbias, charangas, ballads, boleros, sones, chilenas, polkas and waltzes. History The term ''duranguense'' refers to the people from the Mexican state of ...

Los Creadorez is a Regional Mexican band based in Chicago, Illinois, United States, and led by Alfredo Ramírez Corral. History In 2006, alongside co-founder Ismael Mijarez, Corral put together one of the first stateside Duranguense bands, and achieved great success. Los Creadorez del Pasito Duranguense was created when Corral and Mijares left Montéz de Durango, taking most of its members and only leaving the Terrazas family in the band. DISA Latin Music released two singles, "Que Levante La Mano" and "Cada Vez Que Pienso En Ti", both of which made appearances on the ''Billboard'' Regional Mexican charts. Los Creadorez interpreted their decade of success and fans' acceptance of their new package as a sign of Duranguense’s staying power. As the genre rounded its first ten years, sales increased and interest arose far outside the city of Chicago, and Duranguense artists looked to the veterans for direction. Corral and Mijarez – having been around as long as anyone – found th ...
