The 2007 edition of the UCI Road World Championships Time Trial took place on September 27. The Championships was hosted by the German city of Stuttgart, and featured two laps of an urban circuit, amounting to 44.9 kilometres of racing against the clock. Rainbow Jersey
The rainbow jersey is the distinctive jersey worn by the reigning world champion in a cycling discipline, since 1927. The jersey is predominantly white with five horizontal bands in the UCI colours around the chest. From the bottom up the colours are: green, yellow, black, red and blue; the same colours that appear in the rings on the Olympic flag. The tradition is applied to all disciplines, including road racing, track racing, cyclo-cross, BMX, Trials and the disciplines within mountain biking. A world champion must wear the jersey when competing in the same discipline, category and speciality for which the title was won. For example, the world road race champion would wear the garment while competing in stage races (except for time trial stages) and one-day races, but would not be entitled to wear it during time trials. Jason McCartney (born September 3, 1973 in Honolulu) is an American former professional road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 1999 and 2013 for seven different teams. David Millar
David Millar (born 4 January 1977) is a Scottish retired professional road racing cyclist. He rode for Cofidis from 1997 to 2004 and Garmin-Sharp from 2008 to 2014. Matti Helminen (born 14 August 1975) is a Finnish racing cyclist. He won the Finnish National Time Trial Championships six times between 2003 and 2012, and finished in third place in the Finnish National Road Race Championships in 2008, 2009 and 2015. Gustav Erik Larsson (born 20 September 1980) is a Swedish former professional road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2001 and 2016 for nine different teams. Marco Pinotti (born 25 February 1976 in Osio Sotto, Lombardy) is an Italian former road racing cyclist, who competed as a professional between 1999 and 2013. An individual time trial specialist, Pinotti was a six-time Italian Time Trial Champion (2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2013). Career As an amateur he won 28 races before turning professional in 1999 with the team. Dominique Cornu (born 10 October 1985) is a Belgian retired road and track cyclist from Flanders, who competed professionally between 2005 and 2015. He specialised in the time trial discipline. Career Cornu was born in Beveren. At the 2006 World Cycling Championship he was crowned Under-23 Time Trial World Champion.
