2007 Ole Miss Rebels Football Team
The 2007 Ole Miss Rebels football team represented the University of Mississippi during the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. This was Ed Orgeron's third and final season as head coach of the football team. Previous season In 2006 Ole Miss Rebels football team, 2006, Ole Miss finished with a 4–8 record and finished second to last in the SEC West. Ole Miss's only conference wins came against Vanderbilt and Mississippi State, and they suffered blowout losses against the likes of Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky and Wake Forest. The Rebels did not qualify for a bowl game, but they hoped to improve in 2007. Schedule Ole Miss opened the season against non-conference and longtime rival Memphis and played their home opener against Big 12 opponent Missouri. Ed Orgeron
Edward James Orgeron Jr. (; born July 27, 1961) is an American football coach. He was most recently the head football coach at Louisiana State University (LSU), a position he held from midway through the 2016 season until the 2021 season. Orgeron previously served as the head football coach at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) from 2005 to 2007 and was the interim head coach at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2013. He led the 2019 LSU Tigers football team to a national championship, beating the defending champions Clemson in the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship. Orgeron played college football as a defensive lineman at LSU and Northwestern State University. The Auburn–Ole Miss football rivalry is a college football rivalry game between the Tigers of Auburn University and the Rebels of the University of Mississippi. History Both founding members of the Southeastern Conference, Auburn and Ole Miss first met on October 20, 1928 in Birmingham, Alabama with Ole Miss winning the game by a score of 19–0. The 2007 Arkansas Razorbacks football team represented the University of Arkansas in the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Razorbacks played six home games at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas and two home games at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Arkansas. Running back Darren McFadden entered his name into the 2008 NFL Draft after the 2007 season. Alabama–Ole Miss Football Rivalry
The Alabama–Ole Miss football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Ole Miss Rebels. They are charter members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), and both have competed in the SEC West since 1992. The 2007 Alabama Crimson Tide football team represented the University of Alabama for the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The 2007 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs football team represented Louisiana Tech University as a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) during the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The 2007 Georgia Bulldogs football team competed on behalf of the University of Georgia in American football against teams from other colleges and universities.
