Paweł Hlib (born 20 February 1986 in Poland) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career Hlib won the Team Speedway Junior World Championship in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and became the Individual Polish Under-21 Champion in 2007. In December 2008, he joined the Poland national team. Hlib stated that he would like to join the German team because he has German citizenship as well. He returned to ride in Poland during 2019, for Wilki Krosno. It was his final season in Poland. Grzegorz Walasek (born 29 August 1976) is a Polish motorcycle speedway rider who has ridden for the Polish national team and has also competed in the Speedway Grand Prix series. Career Born in Krosno Odrzańskie, Poland, Walasek began his senior career in 1993 with ZKŻ Zielona Góra, and won the Polish Under-21 Championship in 1997. In 2000, he began riding in the UK with Poole Pirates. In 2004, he won the senior Polish individual championship. He was part of the Polish team that won the Speedway World Cup in 2005 and 2007. Walasek rode in 22 Speedway Grand Prix, reaching one final and scoring a total of 138 points. For his sporting achievements, he received the Golden Cross of Merit in 2007. Matej Ferjan
Matej Ferjan (5 January 1977 – 22 May 2011) was a Slovenian motorcycle speedway rider who also rode for the Hungary national speedway team. Career Ferjan was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He was a five-time Slovenian Individual Speedway Championship winner (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001) and a six-time Hungarian champion (2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009). In 1998, he won a third place in Individual U-21 World Championship. In 2004, he was second in the Individual European Championship. On 9 July 2000 he won the Continental Final, which formed part of the 2001 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification. He then secured a permanent ride in the 2001 and 2002 Speedway Grand Prixs. He was also the first non Polish rider to win the Polish Criterium of Aces, winning in 2007.
