2007 Laurie O'Reilly Cup
The 2007 Laurie O'Reilly Cup was the sixth edition of the competition and was held between 16 and 20 October at New Zealand. New Zealand retained the O'Reilly Cup after winning both matches. The Wallaroos began their New Zealand tour with a warm-up match against the Central Regions Development team in Palmerston North. Carla Hohepa
Cala Hohepa (born 27 July 1985) is a New Zealand rugby union player who plays as a wing for New Zealand, Otago Spirit and Alhambra Union. Life On 16 October 2007 she made her international debut with New Zealand at Cooks Gardens in Whanganui scoring two tries against Australia and proved herself to be an emerging player with another three tries in the second win over the Wallaroos a few days after (29-12 at Trust Porirua Park near Wellington). Hohepa was included in the squad for the 2010 World Cup and became one of the stars of the tournament with her pace, skill-set and vision resulting in seven tries (including a hat-trick in the opening match and some other tries against England, France and Australia). Since 2011 she has been in Japan with her partner Karne Hesketh, a professional rugby player who plays wing for Fukuoka Sanix Blues. Kathleen Wilton
Kathleen Wilton (born 10 November 1984) is a former rugby union player. She made her Black Ferns debut on 16 October 2007 against Australia. She was selected for the New Zealand squad to the 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup. They unfortunately lost to Ireland in the pool games, which meant that they did not qualify for the semifinals. She came off the bench in their fifth place final victory over the United States. Career In 2008, she had back surgery and missed the rest of the Air New Zealand Cup season. She toured England with the Black Ferns in a three test series in 2012; England eventually won the series. Wilton played in three test matches against a touring England team in 2013. Ruth McKay
Ruth McKay (born 2 August 1986) is a New Zealand rugby union player. She plays Prop for and Manawatu. She was a member of the 2010 Rugby World Cup winning squad. She also competed in the 2014 Rugby World Cup in France. Rugby career McKay attended Taihape College where she began playing rugby as a third-former. She first played for Manawatu in 2003, she was still a seventh-former student at Whanganui Girls' College. Victoria Grant
Victoria Grant ('' née'' Blackledge; b. 26 August 1982) is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former player. She played for internationally and for Auckland at provincial level. She was recently appointed as Head Coach of Hurricanes Poua. Biography Grant has a bachelor's degree in Health Science majoring in Physiotherapy and a post-graduate diploma in Sports Medicine. Huriana Manuel-Carpenter (born 8 August 1986) is a New Zealand rugby union player. She plays for the Black Ferns, the New Zealand women's sevens team and Auckland. Anika Tiplady (born 21 August 1980) is a former New Zealand rugby union player. She debuted for the Black Ferns on 16 October 2007 against Australia at Wanganui. Anna Richards
Anna Mary Richards (born 3 December 1964) is a former New Zealand rugby union player. She represented at four World Cups — 1998, 2002, 2006, and 2010. Richards played representative tennis and netball before debuting for the Black Ferns on 26 August 1990. She was a member of the first official New Zealand women's sevens team, who took part in the 2000 Hong Kong Sevens. Linda Itunu (born 21 November 1984) is a New Zealand rugby union player. She plays for the Black Ferns, New Zealand women's sevens and Auckland. Itunu attended Kelston Girls' College in Auckland. She was a member of three successful Rugby World Cup campaigns in 2006, 2010 and 2017. She was also part of the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens Squad that won gold. Melissa Jane Ruscoe (born 15 December 1976) is a New Zealand sportswoman who has served as captain of her country's national team in two different football codes: association football and rugby union.
