2007 Hong Kong Super Series
The 2007 Hong Kong Super Series is the last tournament of the 2007 BWF Super Series in badminton before the Super Series Final. It was held in Ma On Shan for qualifying tournament and Wan Chai for main tournament, in Hong Kong from 26 November to 2 December 2007. Hsieh Yu-Hsin
Hsieh Yu-hsing (; born July 23, 1983) is a men's singles and mixed doubles international badminton player from Chinese Taipei (Taiwan). Hsieh started to play badminton international championships since 2002. At the moment, Hsieh had become the men's singles No.1 international player in Taiwan, but he always being drawn to face more stronger players in the overseas countries tournament. In 2008, 2009, and 2010, he always knocked out in the second round and sometimes in the last eight in most tournament he attended. He was even knocked out in the first round because of facing more stronger overseas players. Hsieh had become world ranking No.33 in the men's singles international player now so that he is always met more stronger players in the second round and sometimes in the first round. Simon Santoso
Simon Santoso (born 29 July 1985) is an Indonesian former badminton player. He was two-time Southeast Asian Games men's singles champion winning in 2009 and 2011, also featured in Indonesia team that won the men's team title in 2003, 2007, 2009, and 2011. Santoso won the Indonesia Open a Superseries Premier tournament in 2012. He reached a career high as world number 3 in August 2010. Career When he was young, Santoso joined the Tangkas Jakarta badminton club before joining the Indonesian National team. In 2005, he won the Vietnam Satellite and the silver medal at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games. His best results on the world circuit until recently were runner-up finishes at the 2008 Singapore, 2007 Swiss, and 2008 Indonesia Open. Muhammad Hafiz Hashim
Muhammad Hafiz bin Hashim (born 13 September 1982) is a former Malaysian badminton player whose biggest success is having won the 2003 All England Open Badminton Championships. He is currently the Malaysia national junior under-15 singles coach. Personal life He studied at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sultan Ismail before transferring to Kuala Lumpur. Then, he transferred back to Kelantan and studied in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Pintu Geng before he transferred to Sultan Ismail College. Lü Yi (; born 30 April 1985) is a badminton player from the People's Republic of China. He entered the national second team in 2002, and was promoted to the first team in 2006. He was part of the national junior team that won the gold medal at the 2002 World Junior Championships. In the individual events, he was the champions at the 2007 Austrian International, Bitburger Open, and Russian Open. Boonsak Ponsana
Boonsak Ponsana ( th, บุญศักดิ์ พลสนะ; ; born 22 February 1982) is a Thai badminton player. His younger sister Salakjit Ponsana is also part of the Thailand badminton team. He got a Bachelor of Laws from Sri Patum. Career Ponsana competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics, but was defeated in the round of 64. At the 2004 Summer Olympics, he was defeating Chris Dednam of South Africa and Lee Hyun-il of South Korea in the first two rounds. In the quarterfinals, Ponsana defeated Ronald Susilo of Singapore 15–10, 15–1. He advanced to the semifinals, in which he lost to Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia 15–9, 15–2. Gong Weijie
Gong Weijie (; born 2 June 1986) is a Chinese badminton player from Jingzhou, Hubei. Gong joined the Xiamen team in 1997, and was selected to join the national team in 2002. In the junior event, he won the silver medal in the boys' singles event at the 2004 Asian and World Junior Championships. Gong, who was educated at the China University of Geosciences, claimed the men' singles title at the 2006 World University Championships. He was also part of the national team that won the silver medal at the 2007 Summer Universiade, and became a finalist at the 2009 German Open. Dicky Palyama (born March 26, 1978 in Gouda) is a male badminton player from the Netherlands. Early career After winning four junior titles in the Netherlands between 1994 and 1996, Dicky took the European junior U19 title in 1997. His first success as a professional came in 1998, when he took the Welsh Open International title. Poompat Sapkulchananart ( th, ภูมิพัฒน์ ทรัพย์กุลชนนาถ; born 18 October 1983) is a badminton player from Thailand.
