2007 Asian Athletics Championships
The 17th Asian Athletics Championships were held on the Amman International Stadium in Amman, Jordan between 25 July and 29 July 2007. It was moved in the last minute from original host country Lebanon due to the unrest in that country. Countries like China did not send their best athletes, instead choosing to prepare for the 2007 World Championships which were staged a month later. Ahmad Hassan Moussa
Ahmad Hassan Moussa (Arabic: احمد حسن موسى ; born 17 June 1981) is a Qatari decathlete. He represented his country at the 2004 Summer Olympics and is a two time Asian Champion in the event (2002 and 2007). Moussa was the bronze medallist at both the 2002 Asian Games and the 2007 Military World Games. He has won three Arab Athletics titles for Qatar and won the gold medal at the 2007 Pan Arab Games. His personal best of 7730 points is the Qatari national record for the decathlon. Pavel Vladimirovich Andreev (russian: Павел Владимирович Андреев; born November 24, 1978, in Tashkent) is an Uzbekistani decathlete. He is a two-time Olympian and a three-time medalist for the decathlon at the Asian Athletics Championships. Andreev made his official debut for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where he did not finish the men's decathlon event for failing to attain a mark in the long jump.
