The 2006–07 Women's EHF Cup was the 26th edition of the European Handball Federation's secondary competition for women's handball clubs, running from 14 September 2006 to 20 May 2007. Zvezda Zvenigorod defeated Ikast Håndbold, Ikast Bording EH in the final to become the first Russian team to win the competition. Women's EHF Cup
The Women's EHF European League is an annual competition for women's handball clubs of Europe. It is organized by the European Handball Federation, EHF. It is currently the second-tier competition of European club handball, ranking only below the Women's EHF Champions League, EHF Champions League. Previously called the Women's EHF Cup, the competition will be known as the Women's EHF European League from the 2020–21 season. History The first edition took place in 1981. It was called the IHF Cup until 1993. From the 2016–17 season, the competition merged with the Women's EHF Cup Winners' Cup, EHF Cup Winners' Cup. Tournament structure The EHF Cup is a competition divided into seven rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, Group Phase, Quarter-finals, Semi-finals and Final. Skövde HF
Skövde Handbollsflickor is a Swedish women's handball club from Skövde playing in the Elitserien. Playing in top-flight since 1997, Skövde won its first championship in 2008. In all other seasons since 2005 it has been the championship's runner-up. Frankfurter HC
Frankfurter Handball Club is a German women's handball from Frankfurt (Oder). History During the communist era Frankfurter HC was the handball section of military sports club ASK Vorwärts, installed in Frankfurt since 1971. Vorwärts was one of the most successful East German team in the 1980s, winning six national championships between 1982 and 1990. It was also successful in international competitions, winning two EHF Cups in 1985 and 1990. Following the reunification of Germany the ASK Vorwärts society was disbanded in 1991, and Frankfurt became an independent club and joined the Handball-Bundesliga as BFV Frankfurt. In 1994 the club merged with local team and took its current name. While the club's status has decreased following the reunification Frankfurter has still been fairly successful since, winning the 1997 EHF City Cup, the 2003 national cup and the 2004 championship. Most recently it was sixth in 2011, qualifying for the EHF Cup.
