Dilated Peoples is an American hip hop group from Los Angeles, California. They have had little mainstream success in the US, with the exception of the song " This Way", a 2004 collaboration with Kanye West. Better known in the UK, they reached the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart with two tracks, "This Way" and "Worst Comes to Worst." Members include DJ Babu (producer/DJ), Evidence (MC/producer) and Rakaa (MC). Their songs were featured in the 2003 video games '' Need for Speed: Underground'' and ''NBA Street Vol. 2''. History Dilated Peoples began when DJ Babu (from the DJ crew Beat Junkies), Evidence, and Rakaa joined together in 1992 and released "Third Degree" (1997) on ABB Records, developing their material in the underground hip hop community. ''Timeless'' is a collaborative album, recorded and released by Brazilian artist Sérgio Mendes, and produced by American rapper, songwriter and producer will.i.am. The album was released in the UK on February 13, 2006 and in the US on February 14. The album features many neo soul and alternative hip hop guest artists, including John Legend, Q-Tip and Justin Timberlake. The album was produced entirely by will.i.am, and was released via Concord Records and the will.i.am Music Group. The album's lead single, " Mas que Nada", was featured on commercials for both Joga Bonito and Nike Football, as well EA Sports' ''NBA Live 07'' and '' 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany'' video games. Sérgio Mendes
Sérgio Santos Mendes (; born February 11, 1941) is a Brazilian musician. His career took off with worldwide hits by his group Brasil '66. He has over 55 releases and plays bossa nova heavily crossed with jazz and funk. He was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song in 2012 as co-writer of the song "Real in Rio" from the animated film ''Rio''. Mendes is a unique example of a Brazilian musician primarily known in the United States, where his albums were recorded and where most of his touring took place. Mendes is married to Gracinha Leporace, who has performed with him since the early 1970s. Mendes has also collaborated with many artists through the years, including The Black Eyed Peas, with whom he re-recorded in 2006 a version of his breakthrough hit " Mas que Nada". Terror Squad Productions is an American Hip hop and Rap record company founded by Fat Joe in 1997. The label had been distributed by Atlantic, EMI, and Imperial, E1 (formerly Koch). The label's flagship artist was Big Pun. History Early Years (1997-1999) Fat Joe decided to form Terror Squad Productions in 1997 with help from Craig Kallman, Greg Angelides, and his manager Mick Bentson. After being disappointed with the previous album sales at Relativity Records, Fat Joe left Relativity and signed to Atlantic Records. ''Magnificent City'' is a full American studio album by American rapper Aceyalone, accompanied by American hip hop producer RJD2. It was released on Decon and Project Blowed in 2006. It peaked at number 39 on the ''Billboard'' Heatseekers Albums chart, as well as number 43 on the Independent Albums chart. RJD2 released a compilation of instrumental versions of songs from the album in 2006, entitled ''Magnificent City Instrumentals''.
