Bret Munsey
Bret Munsey (born August 19, 1968) is an American football coach. Previously he was the head coach for the Orlando Predators and Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League, and also an executive for the Florida Tuskers of the United Football League. Playing career College years After graduating from Winter Park High School, Munsey played college football for Concord College, where he was a four-year starter and letterman. He led his team in receiving three of those years and was an All-West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection. Arena Football League Munsey played wide receiver/ defensive back for the Orlando Predators in 1991. Coaching career Munsey began his coaching career as the defensive coordinator of the Augusta Stallions of af2 in 2000. This is a list of seasons completed by the Philadelphia Soul. The Soul are a professional arena football franchise of the Arena Football League (AFL), based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The team was established in 2004. The Soul have appeared in four ArenaBowls, the first coming in the 2008 season, where they finished with the best record in the league, and put together a playoff run that ended with a win in ArenaBowl XXII. The team made back to back appearances in ArenaBowl XXV and ArenaBowl XXVI, however lost both games. The Soul won their fourth appearance in ArenaBowl XXIX. Georgia Force
The Georgia Force was an Arena Football League (AFL) team based in Gwinnett County, Georgia, United States (part of suburban Atlanta) that played in the South Division of the American Conference. The team was owned by Doug MacGregor and Donn Jennings. Following the termination of operations of the Arena Football League on August 4, 2009, Georgia Force officials quickly followed with a release that indicated that they, too, were ceasing operations. The Nashville Kats were an Arena Football League team, located in Nashville, Tennessee. Dallas Desperados
The Dallas Desperados were a professional arena football team based in Dallas, Texas. The Desperados played in the Eastern Division of the Arena Football League from 2002 to 2008. The franchise began play in as an expansion team, and have posted a winning record in all but one of their seasons in existence. The team was owned by Jerry Jones, who also owns the Dallas Cowboys. Jones' son-in-law Shy Anderson was the COO of the team, and oversaw the day-to-day operations of the franchise. The team folded effective August 4, 2009, upon the dissolving of the original AFL. Colorado Crush
The Colorado Crush were an arena football team based in Denver, Colorado. They began play as a 2003 Arena Football League expansion team. The Crush played in the Central Division of the American Conference until the Arena Football League suspended operations in 2009. They were last coached by Mike Dailey and owned by a coalition of Denver sports figures led by John Elway. Negotiations with a Denver ownership group (known not to be the Elway group) were underway for a future AFL expansion franchise in Denver, but it is unclear whether or not it will use the Crush branding or that of the Denver Dynamite, an earlier AFL team.
