2006 NSW Premier League Season
The 2006 NSW Premier League season was the sixth season of the revamped NSW Premier League. The 2006 regular season began on Friday, 17 February 2006 in a match between Manly United and APIA Leichhardt Tigers. It concluded with Round 18 being played out on Sunday, 25 June 2006. The finals began on 1 July 2006, culminating with the grand final on 16 July 2006. The match was played at Marconi Stadium at 3pm with Sydney United FC being crowned premiers after defeating regular season champions Blacktown City Demons FC 4–0. During the course of the season, all Premier League, Super League and Division teams were involved in the Statewide Cup, an equivalent to the English FA Cup with teams competing in a series of elimination games. Blacktown City Demons FC also won this competition defeating APIA Leichhardt Tigers 2–1 in the cup final. NSW Premier League
The National Premier Leagues NSW is a semi-professional soccer competition in New South Wales, Australia. The competition is conducted by Football NSW, the organising body in New South Wales (the other being the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW organised by Northern NSW Football). The league is a subdivision of the second tier National Premier Leagues (NPL), which sits below the national A-League. Prior to becoming a subdivision of the NPL in 2013, the league was previously known as the NSW Premier League. Wollongong ( ), colloquially referred to as The Gong, is a city located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. Belmore Sports Ground
Belmore Sports Ground, formerly known as Belmore Oval, is a multi-purpose stadium in Belmore, New South Wales, Australia. The park covers and from 1951 has contained the Belmore Bowling Recreation Club green. It is close to Belmore railway station. The stadium has a capacity of 19,000 people and was built in 1920, with the grandstand itself having the capacity to seat 10,000 people. Sydney Olympic Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club, based in Belmore, Sydney, New South Wales, that plays in the National Premier Leagues NSW. Seymour Shaw Park
Seymour Shaw Park is a football (soccer) stadium in Miranda, New South Wales, Australia. It is the current home ground of the Sutherland Sharks Football Club who play in the state league, the New South Wales Premier League. History Seymour Shaw Park has been the Sharks home ground since the club's move from Sutherland Oval in the late '50s. Sutherland Sharks Football Club is an Australian Association football club based in the suburb of Sutherland in Sydney New South Wales. Marconi Stallions FC
Marconi Stallions Football Club is an Australian semi-professional soccer club based in Fairfield, Sydney, New South Wales. The club has been crowned Australian champion four times. The Stallions are the soccer team of Club Marconi, a social and sporting club founded in 1958 by immigrants from Italy who settled in Sydney's western suburbs.
