Al-Masry
Al Masry Sporting Club ( ar, النادي المصري للألعاب الرياضية) is an Egyptian sports club based in Port Said, Egypt. The club is mainly known for its professional football team, that competes in the Egyptian Premier League, the highest division of the Egyptian football league system. Al Masry has never won the league, but won their one Egyptian Cup in 1998. The club plays their home matches at the Port Said Stadium, with a capacity of 17,988. History Founded on 18 March 1920 by a group of Egyptians in Port Said, it was the first club for Egyptians in a city that already had many clubs for the foreign communities living there. Amr Zaki
Amr Hassan Zaki ( ar, عمرو زكي; born 1 April 1983) is an Egyptian retired professional footballer who played as a striker. He has played for numerous different clubs in Egypt, Russia, England, Turkey and Kuwait. Zaki has made 63 appearances and scored 30 goals for the Egyptian national team. In his career, Zaki has been nicknamed the "bulldozer" and has been likened to former England striker Alan Shearer. However, his career has not been without controversy. He was labelled "highly unprofessional" by former Wigan manager Steve Bruce. Also, his decision not to join English club Portsmouth due to the nationality of some of the players garnered much criticism in the English press. Samir Sabry Abdou (born 13 January 1976) is an Egyptian former footballer who played at both professional and international levels as a midfielder. Ahmed Hossam Hussein Abdelhamid Wasfi ( ar, أحمد حسام حسين عبد الحميد وصفي; born 23 February 1983), publicly known as Mido ( ar, ميدو), is an Egyptian football manager and former player who played as a striker. Mido started his career with Zamalek in Egypt in 1999. He left the club for Gent of Belgium in 2000, where he won the Belgian Ebony Shoe. This led to a move to Dutch side Ajax in 2001, from where he joined Celta Vigo on loan in 2003. His next destination was Marseille in France and he left them for Italian side Roma in 2004. He joined English side Tottenham Hotspur on an 18-month loan in 2005 and eventually joined the club permanently in 2006. Tarek El-Sayed
Tarek El Sayed ( ar, طارق السيد; born 9 October 1978) is a retired Egyptian football player who played for El Zamalek for most of his football career. He also played for Itesalat, and he played for Tersana in the Egyptian Second Division and retired after one season. El Sayed made several appearances for the Egypt national football team, including nine qualifying matches for various FIFA World Cups. Career Zamalek El Sayed played with El Zamalek for 13 seasons during which he dominated the left wing position. At the end of 2007-2008 season and after winning the Egyptian cup, El Zamalek did not include either Tarek or his teammate Besheer El-Tabei in the new season's team roster, and so both were free agents.
