2005 African Youth Championship
The 2005 African Youth Championship was an international football competition that took place between 15 and 29 January 2005. The tournament was hosted by Benin and also served as qualification for the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship. Qualification Preliminary round Burundi and Mauritius withdrew. As a result, the Republic of Congo and Lesotho advanced to the next round. First round Republic of Congo, Congo Kinshasa, Ethiopia, Gabon and Tanzania withdrew. As a result, Cameroon, Nigeria, Zambia, Ghana and Zimbabwe advanced to the next round. Second round Niger were disqualified by the FIFA. Mouhcine Iajour ( ar, محسن ياجور; born 14 June 1986) is a Moroccan football Forward (association football)#Striker, striker who currently plays for RS Berkane and the Morocco national football team, Moroccan national team. In 2013, Iajour became the first African footballer to be FIFA Club World Cup's top scorer and List of FIFA Club World Cup awards, Bronze Ball, advancing with Raja Casablanca into the final played against European champions Bayern Munich. Coffi Edem Agbessi (born 5 December 1985) is a retired Beninese professional footballer who predominantly played as a midfielder and represented Benin national team on four occasions. Bokang Mothoana (born 9 December 1987) is a Mosotho footballer who plays for Kick 4 Life. Club career Bokang Mothoana, who also goes by the nickname "lefty", started with Likhopo Maseru in 2005. In 2007, he transferred to Union Sportive Monstir for an unknown fee. He was part of the team who won the 2010-11 Ligue 2 by four points and subsequently played for the side in the top division.
