World Team Squash Championships
The WSF World Team Squash Championships are an international squash competition organised by the World Squash Federation (WSF) and played between teams representing different nations. Countries enter teams of three or four players to represent them in the championships. In each round of the competition, teams face each other in a best-of-three singles matches contest. The competition is held once every two years, with the venue changing each time. Normally the men's and women's events are held in different years in two locations. Latasha Khan (born January 20, 1973 in Seattle) is a professional female squash player who has represented the United States in international competition. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 18 in January 2000. She started to play at the age of 9. She earned a team and individual gold medal at the 2003 Pan Am Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. With 3,410 points on the international points table in September 2009, she was ranked No. 28 in the international circuit. She is a right handed player. After spending some time as a junior player, Khan started to play professional squash back in 1992. Louisa Hall (squash Player)
Louisa Warren Hall (born June 24, 1982) is an American novelist and poet. She has a Ph.D in literature from University of Texas at Austin, where she has taught literature and creative writing. Education and early life Hall grew up outside Philadelphia in the suburb of Haverford. She attended Episcopal Academy, where she played squash. She was also involved in the community service program, the choir, and played the violin. Hall attended Harvard College, and graduated in 2004, earning a BA in English. Her master's thesis concerned the poetry of Thomas Hardy. Hall is one of several members of the Harvard women's squash team to have later gone on to write professionally. Others include Galt Niederhoffer and Ivy Pochoda. She completed her PhD in English in 2013, at the University of Texas, where she subsequently taught. Jenny Duncalf
Jennifer Duncalf (born 10 November 1982) is a former professional squash player from England. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 2 in December 2009. Career Duncalf was born in Haarlem, Netherlands but was a pupil at Harrogate Grammar School where she attended from 1994-2001. As a junior player, she won the European Junior Championship title. Duncalf won the European Individual Championship title in 2006 and 2007, and the British National Championship title in 2007 and 2009. She was also a member of the England team which won the World Team Squash Championships in 2006. In 2008, she finished runner-up at the British Open (losing in the final to Nicol David). Fiona Geaves (born 6 December 1967, in Gloucester, United Kingdom) is a former professional squash player from England. She played on the professional tour from 1987 to 2006, winning six tour titles, reaching a career-high ranking of World No. 5 in 2001, and remaining in the world's top-20 for an unbroken stretch of 19 years. Geaves won the British National Squash Championship title in 1995. At the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, Geaves won Bronze Medals in both the women's doubles and mixed doubles. Cassandra "Cassie" Jackman (born 22 December 1972 and competing in some years as Cassie Campion) is a former English squash player who won the World Open in 1999. She was England's leading player throughout much of the 1990s and early 21st century. She retired due to a recurring back injury in December 2004. Jackman was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2004 Birthday Honours for services to squash. Katarina Witt (, ; born 3 December 1965) is a German former figure skater. A two-time Olympic champion, Witt is regarded as one of the greatest ladies' singles figure skaters of all time. Her Laureus profile states "she is remembered most for her overall athleticism, her charismatic appeal and her glamorous image on the ice."
