The gaming industry would see the release of many FPS and sequel games in 2004, with some of the most famous being ''Halo 2'', ''Metroid Prime 2: Echoes'', and ''Half Life 2'', while some were met with extreme criticism upon initial release, many are now seen as some of the greatest video games in the history of gaming.
