2003–04 Atlanta Hawks Season
The 2003–04 NBA season was the Hawks' 55th season in the National Basketball Association, and 36th season in Atlanta. During the offseason, the Hawks signed free agent Stephen Jackson, while re-signing Jacque Vaughn after one season with the Orlando Magic. The Hawks continued to struggle losing eight of their first eleven games. At midseason, they traded Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Theo Ratliff to the Portland Trail Blazers for All-Star forward Rasheed Wallace. However, Wallace only played just one game for the Hawks before being traded to the Detroit Pistons for Bob Sura. Wallace would win a championship with the Pistons as they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in five games in the NBA Finals. The team also traded Nazr Mohammed to the New York Knicks, and acquired Joel Przybilla from the Milwaukee Bucks, while Dion Glover was released to free agency and signed with the Toronto Raptors. Terry Stotts
Terry Linn Stotts (born November 25, 1957) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He most recently served as head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). After a playing as a forward in Europe and the Continental Basketball Association (CBA), where he was coached by George Karl, Stotts became a part of Karl's coaching staff on multiple teams in the CBA and NBA. He later got opportunities as a head coach for the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks, before helping the Dallas Mavericks win the 2011 NBA championship as an assistant coach. Robert Sura Jr. (born March 25, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player who played ten seasons for five different teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA). At , , he played as a shooting guard and point guard. Early life and college career Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Robert Sura played in high school at G.A.R. Memorial. He had a high game of 69 while leading G.A.R. to a streak of 86 consecutive league victories. 2004–05 Dallas Mavericks Season
The 2004–05 NBA season was the Mavericks' 25th season in the National Basketball Association. During the offseason, the Mavericks acquired Jason Terry from the Atlanta Hawks, and Jerry Stackhouse along with rookie Devin Harris from the Washington Wizards. The Mavericks got off to a fast start winning seven of their first eight games, holding a 35–16 record before the All-Star break. At midseason, the team acquired Keith Van Horn from the Milwaukee Bucks. However, on March 19, head coach Don Nelson stepped down and former Maverick Avery Johnson took over Nelson's duties for the remainder of the season. Alan Lybrooks Henderson (born December 2, 1972) is an American former professional basketball player of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He stands 6'9" (2.06 m) tall. Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, Henderson attended Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jason Eugene Terry (born September 15, 1977) is an American former professional basketball player and current assistant coach for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 2003–04 NBA season was the Raptors' ninth season in the National Basketball Association. This season saw the team draft future All-Star forward Chris Bosh with the fourth overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft. With new head coach Kevin O'Neill, the Raptors started the season on a high note beating the 2-time Eastern Conference Champion New Jersey Nets 90–87. The 2003–04 NBA season was the Bucks' 36th season in the National Basketball Association. During the offseason, the Bucks acquired Joe Smith from the Minnesota Timberwolves. Under new head coach Terry Porter, the Bucks played around .500 for most of the first half of the season. At midseason, the team traded Tim Thomas to the New York Knicks for Keith Van Horn. The 2003–04 New York Knicks season was the 58th season for the Knicks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). During the offseason, the Knicks signed All-Star center Dikembe Mutombo in free agency.
