2003 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship
The 2003 Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 18th edition of the volleyball, Women's Continental Volleyball Tournament, played by eight countries from September 13 to September 18, 2003 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The United States won the championship by defeating Cuba 3-0, and both teams qualified to the 2003 FIVB Women's World Cup, 2003 FIVB World Cup. The Dominican Republic won the bronze medal. Zoila Barros Fernández (born 6 August 1979) is a retired Cuban female volleyball player who played as a middle blocker. She played for the Cuban women's national volleyball team, and helped the team win a gold medal in the 2000 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics. Robyn Mokihana Ah Mow (born September 15, 1975) is the head coach of the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball team and a former American indoor volleyball player. She was a setter on the USA national team and played at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, the 2004 Athens Olympics, and at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, helping Team USA to a silver medal. 2003 FIVB Women's World Cup
The 2003 FIVB Women's World Cup was held from 1 to 15 November 2003 in Japan. Twelve women's national teams played in cities all over Japan for the right to a fast lane ticket into the 2004 Summer Olympics.
