Josef Franc (born 18 January 1979, in Čáslav, Czech Republic) is a former international motorcycle racer who competed in Grasstrack, Longtrack and motorcycle speedway. Career He has appeared as a track reserve in the 2007 Czech Republic Speedway Grand Prix, scoring three points from two rides and has represented the Czech Republic national speedway team at senior level. Franc was the Czech Republic Under-21 Champion in 1999 and was the Czech Republic national champion in 2017 and 2018. In 2019, he was part of the Czech team, along with Hynek Štichauer and Martin Málek, that won the bronze medal at the 2019 Team Long Track World Championship. In 2022, he was part of the Czech team, again with Málek and Štichauer, that won the silver medal at the 2022 Team Long Track World Championship. Christian Hefenbrock born (15 May 1985 in Kyritz, Germany) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider from Germany. Career He first rode in the United Kingdom for the Wolverhampton Wolves in the Elite League in 2006. It was in 2006 that he became the German champion after winning the German Individual Speedway Championship. In 2007, he was signed by the Lakeside Hammers but was replaced mid season when one of their own assets was made available. He has represented the Germany team in the Speedway World Cup in every tournament from 2003 until 2007. Also in 2007 he was awarded the wild card place for the 2007 Speedway Grand Prix of Germany, winning his opening ride. Martin Smolinski (born 6 December 1984, in Munich, West Germany) is a former international motorcycle speedway and Grasstrack rider from Germany. He is eight times champion of Germany. Career Smolinksi began riding in his natiove Germany for MSC Olching. He became the German junior champion in 2003 and after reaching the final 2003 Speedway Under-21 World Championship he signed for Coventry Bees in England. Coventry retained him for the following two seasons and his form improved over the next two seasons. In 2006, he signed for his first Polish club Rybnik and in 2007 became the German Champion for the first time. Also in 2007, he won the league and cup double with Coventry during the 2007 Elite League speedway season. Kauko Tapio Nieminen (born 29 August 1979, in Seinäjoki) is a Finnish former speedway rider who raced for several teams in the UK, Sweden, and Poland, and as part of the Finland national speedway team. Career summary Nieminen started his United Kingdom career with the Workington Comets in 2002 and was with them every season until 2008 except for 2006, when he rode for the Glasgow Tigers. In 2004, he was part of the Workington four that won the Premier League Four-Team Championship, which was held on 21 August 2004, at the Derwent Park. In 2006, he represented Finland in the 2006 Speedway World Cup. Nieminen was known by both Workington and Glasgow fans as 'The Flyin Finn' because of his racing style, which produces some high speed passing.
