2002–03 Leicester City F.C. Season
During the 2002–03 English football season, Leicester City F.C. competed in the Football League First Division after being relegated from the FA Premier League 2001–02 Leicester City F.C. season, the previous season. Despite being placed into administration, Leicester managed to regain promotion to the Premier League. Season summary In October 2002, Leicester went into administration (British football), administration with debts of £30 million. Some of the reasons were the loss of TV money (ITV Digital, itself in administration, had promised money to First Division clubs for TV rights), the large wage bill, lower fees for players transferred to other clubs than expected and the £37 million cost of the new stadium. Manager Micky Adams was banned from the transfer market for most of the season, until the club was rescued by a takeover by a consortium led by former Leicester striker Gary Lineker. Leicester ( ) is a city, unitary authority and the county town of Leicestershire in the East Midlands of England. It is the largest settlement in the East Midlands. Jordan Stewart (footballer Born 1982)
Jordan Barrington Stewart (born 3 March 1982) is an English former professional footballer who played as a left-back or left winger. Stewart started his career at Leicester City, where he was relegated twice and once promoted to the Premier League. Whilst at Leicester he also spent a loan spell at Bristol Rovers. He joined Watford in 2005, and was part of a side that won promotion to Premier League, before being subsequently relegated. He left the club in 2008 and subsequently signed for Derby. In March 2013 he signed a three-month contract with Coventry City on a free transfer. Mustafa Kemal "Muzzy" Izzet (; tr, İzzet; born 31 October 1974) is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Chelsea, Leicester City, Birmingham City. Born in England, he represented the Turkey national team internationally. Early life His father is a Turkish Cypriot who came to England as a small boy, and his mother is English. Trevor Junior Benjamin (born 8 February 1979) is a former professional footballer and manager who played as a forward. He is famed for being a prime example of a journeyman footballer, having represented 29 teams in his career, and making over 350 appearances in the Football League between 1995 and 2008. Carl Junior Lewis (born 9 October 1973) is a former footballer who was most recently assistant head coach at Barnet. During his playing career he played as a midfielder. He is currently assistant manager at National League South side Welling United. Playing career Lewis started his career at Fulham as a youngster, making his Football League debut as a substitute against Burnley on 17 October 1992. Jonathan Stevenson (born 13 October 1982) is an English football player-manager of side Melton Town. as a player, he plays as a forward. Playing career Born in Leicester, Leicestershire, Stevenson started his career with home town side Leicester City as a trainee. James Scowcroft
James Benjamin Scowcroft (born 15 November 1975) is a retired footballer who played as a striker. He is currently a coach for the Ipswich Town academy. Scowcroft began his career at Ipswich Town, graduating from the club's academy. He went on to score over 50 goals and make over 200 appearances for Ipswich, helping the club win promotion to the Premier League in 2000.
