The 2002 Samsung-PBA Governors Cup Finals was the best-of-7 basketball championship series of the 2002 PBA Governors Cup and the conclusion of the conference's playoffs. The Purefoods Tender Juicy Hotdogs and Alaska Aces played for the 81st championship contested by the league. The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, or simply known as the Magnolia Hotshots, are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association. The team is owned by San Miguel Pure Foods Company, Inc., San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc., a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation (SMC). The team is one of three PBA ball clubs currently owned by the SMC group of companies, along with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the San Miguel Beermen. They have 14 PBA championships, tied with Barangay Ginebra and the Alaska Aces (PBA), Alaska Aces for the second-most championships overall, trailing only San Miguel Beermen by 14. Joaquin M. Henson (born October 14, 1950), also known as Quinito Henson, is a Filipino sports analyst and television color commentator. His newspaper column, ''Sporting Chance'', has appeared in the ''Philippine Star'' since the 1980s. Self-dubbed as "The Dean", he himself has laced his writing with nicknames given to various athletes, such as "Captain Lionheart" for Alvin Patrimonio and "Tower of Power" for Benjie Paras. Jose Emmanuel "Noli" M. Eala is a Filipino sports executive and disbarred lawyer who served as the 11th chairperson of the Philippine Sports Commission from August 30 to December 28, 2022. He previously served as the sixth commissioner of the Philippine Basketball Association from 2003 to 2007. A color commentator or expert commentator is a sports commentator who assists the main (play-by-play) commentator, typically by filling in when play is not in progress. The phrase "colour commentator" is primarily used in Canadian English and the phrase "color commentator" is now rarely used in American English as the role is now more commonly known in the USA as "game analyst" or "match analyst". The person may also be referred to as a summariser (outside North America) or analyst (a term used throughout the English-speaking world). The color analyst and main commentator will often exchange comments freely throughout the broadcast, when the main commentator is not describing the action. Luis Antonio Trillo, (born July 13, 1975) better known as Luigi Trillo is the former head coach of the Alaska Aces in the Philippine Basketball Association. He is also the former head coach of the Cebuana Lhuillier Gems in the PBA D-League. Currently, he is the assistant coach of the Meralco Bolts. Ramon "Mon" Jose is a Filipinos, Filipino basketball coach who serving as one of the three assistant coaches under Chito Victolero of the Magnolia Hotshots in the Philippine Basketball Association, PBA.
