2002 Miami Dolphins Season
The 2002 season was the Miami Dolphins' 33rd in the National Football League, their 37th overall and their third under head coach Dave Wannstedt. The Dolphins failed to improve upon their previous season's output of 11–5, winning only nine games. The team missed the playoffs for the first time since 1996. In the off-season, the Dolphins acquired running back Ricky Williams from the New Orleans Saints. Despite the team not making the playoffs, he led the league with a career-high 16 rushing touchdowns. Williams made the Pro Bowl following the season, taking home the game's MVP honors. It was Williams' only Pro Bowl appearance of his career. The American Football Conference – Eastern Division or AFC East is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Bryan Wiedmeier
Bryan Jon Wiedmeier (October 19, 1959 – June 7, 2016) was an American National Football League executive. He spent five seasons with the Cleveland Browns after joining their organization as Executive Vice President-Business Operations on January 11, 2010. In 2013, he adopted a new role, working closely with CEO Joe Banner focusing on long-term strategic planning for the organization, including stadium projects and other capital endeavors. Beginnings with the Dolphins Wiedmeier joined the Browns following a successful 29-year tenure with the Miami Dolphins. The Northwestern Wildcats football team represents Northwestern University as an NCAA Division I college football team and member of the Big Ten Conference based near Chicago in Evanston, Illinois. Founded in 1851, Northwestern began playing football in 1882. Zak Kustok
Zak Adam Kustok (born February 24, 1979) is an American businessman who was starting quarterback for the Northwestern Wildcats from 1999 to 2001. He originally matriculated at Notre Dame, but suffered from a change in the offensive game plan when Bob Davie replaced Lou Holtz, who had recruited him. Early in his second season in 1998 he left the program and joined Northwestern after its fifth game in 1999. Despite playing only two and a half seasons for Northwestern, he is the current Northwestern record holder for many quarterback rushing and passing statistics, including single season and career rushing touchdowns, career rushing yardage, career and single-season consecutive games with a touchdown pass and career consecutive pass attempts without an interception. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. Omare Gerald Lowe (born April 20, 1978) is a former American football cornerback. He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fifth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played college football at Washington. Lowe was also a member of the Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings, Washington Redskins, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Randy Montez McMichael (born June 28, 1979) is a former American football tight end in the National Football He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia. Early years McMichael was named to the ''Atlanta Journal-Constitution''s Top 50 in the state of Georgia at Peach County High School in Fort Valley, Georgia. He was voted the team’s best offensive lineman as a senior, and also lettered in basketball and track during his prep career. College career McMichael was a three-year letterman at Georgia from 1999 to 2001. He missed all but one game in 1997 with a thumb injury, and missed all of 1998 with a knee injury.
