2002 Jacksonville Jaguars Season
The 2002 season was the Jacksonville Jaguars' 8th in the National Football League and their eight and final under head coach Tom Coughlin. The team matched their 2001 record of 6–10 and finished 3rd place in the AFC South, missing the playoffs for the third season in a row. This was Mark Brunell's final full season as the Jaguars' starting quarterback. Tom Coughlin was fired after this season and replaced by Jack Del Rio the following season. AFC South
The American Football Conference – Southern Division or AFC South is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Bobby Shaw
Bobby T. Shaw II (born April 23, 1975 in San Francisco, California) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League. Shaw has played for five NFL teams: Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, and San Diego Chargers. Shaw attended Galileo High School and played college football at California. He graduated Cal as the school's all-time leader in receptions with 180 catches for 2,731 yards and 27 touchdowns. In 1996, Steve Mariucci became Cal's head coach. Shaw prospered under Mariucci, with 12 catches for 168 yards in a game against UCLA and three touchdowns scores in a 48-42 triple-overtime win over Oregon State. 2001 Tennessee Volunteers Football Team
The 2001 Tennessee Volunteers football team represented the University of Tennessee in the 2001 NCAA Division I-A football season. The team was coached by Phillip Fulmer. John Henderson (defensive Tackle)
John Nathan Henderson (born January 9, 1979), nicknamed Big John or Big Hen, is a former football defensive tackle who played ten seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Tennessee and was a two-time consensus All-American. A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. 2002 Houston Texans Season
The 2002 season was the Houston Texans' debut season in the National Football League and the first NFL season for the city of Houston since the Oilers moved to Tennessee to become the Titans in 1997. Their coaching staff was headed by Dom Capers, who previously coached the expansion Carolina Panthers when they debuted in 1995. The divisional realignment also placed the Texans and Titans in the same division. The Texans won their inaugural regular season game against the Dallas Cowboys 19–10 on Sunday Night Football. Renaldo Levalle Wynn (born September 3, 1974) is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Seth Copeland Payne (born February 12, 1975) is a former American football defensive tackle, who now co-hosts a local radio show. Early life Payne is descended from a long line of farmers from outside Victor, New York and went to high school at Victor Senior High School, graduating in 1993.
