2002 Girabola
The 2002 Girabola was the 24th season of top-tier football competition in Angola. The season ran from 23 February to 20 October 2002. Petro de Luanda were the defending champions. The league comprised 14 teams, the bottom three of which were relegated to the 2003 Gira Angola. ASA were crowned champions, winning their first title, while Benfica do Lubango, Futebol Clube de Cabinda and Sporting do Bié, were relegated. Flávio Amado of Petro de Luanda finished as the top scorer with 16 goals. Girabola
Girabola, or ''Campeonato Nacional de Futebol em Séniores Masculinos'', is the top division of Angolan football. It is organized by the Angolan Football Federation. The league winner and runner-up qualify for the CAF Champions League. Girabola ZAP In January 2016, Angolan subscription TV satellite and cable provider ZAP, the Angolan Football Federation and the Girabola clubs, signed a three-year deal in which ZAP will have broadcast rights over all Girabola matches. As part of the deal, the Angolan state-owned TV station TPA will be allowed to broadcast one game per week on its free-view platform. Also as part of the deal, the Girabola changes its denomination to Girabola ZAP. Atlético Desportivo Petróleos do Namibe, formerly Onze Bravos do Sacomar and Desportivo Sonangol do Namibe and simply known as Atlético do Namibe, named after its major sponsor Sonangol, is Angolan football club based in Moçâmedes, the capital city of the Namibe Province. Bernardino Pedroto
António Carlos Bernardino Pedroto (born 19 October 1953) is a Portuguese former footballer who played as an attacking midfielder, and is a manager. Playing career Born in Lisbon, Pedroto started playing football with local S.L. Benfica. He began training with the first team in the 1972–73 season, which ended in Primeira Liga conquest, but his only league appearance for the club only came the following campaign. After leaving Benfica, Pedroto represented always in the top division, where he amassed totals of 226 matches and 28 goals during 13 seasons, Vitória de Guimarães (two spells), C.S.
