2001–02 UCLA Bruins Men's Basketball Team
The 2001–02 UCLA Bruins men's basketball team represented the University of California, Los Angeles in the 2001–02 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team finished 6th in the conference and lost in the first round of the Pac-10 tournament to the California Golden Bears. The Bruins competed in the 2002 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, losing to the Missouri Tigers in the sweet sixteen. Steve Lavin
Stephen Michael Lavin (born September 4, 1964) is an American men's college basketball coach and broadcaster who is the head coach of the San Diego Toreros men's basketball, San Diego Toreros of the West Coast Conference (WCC). He previously served as head coach of the St. John's Red Storm men's basketball, St. John's Red Storm and UCLA Bruins men's basketball, UCLA Bruins. The United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) was founded in 1956 by National Collegiate Athletic Association director Walter Byers to serve the interests of journalists who cover college basketball. List Of All-Pacific-12 Conference Men's Basketball Teams
The All-Pac-12 men's basketball team is an annual Pac-12 Conference honor bestowed on the best players in the conference following every college basketball season. Pac-12 coaches select a 10-player first team and a five-player second team. There were two five-man teams from 1956 though 1979, followed by one 10-man first team from 1980 through 2008. For one year in 2008, there were three five-man teams selected. During the final week of the regular season, Pac-12 coaches nominate up to three players from their team to be placed on the ballot for consideration. Coaches submit their votes by the Sunday after the season ends and cannot vote for their own players. Previously, a player needed to be selected on 50 percent of the ballots to be on the team. Dijon Thompson
Dijon Lynn Thompson (born February 23, 1983) is an American former professional basketball player who played briefly in the National Basketball Association (NBA). While he played mainly at the shooting guard position in his early career, he also played as a small forward during his European years. College Thompson was a standout at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), having an all-time scoring average of 15.6 points per game including 18.4 as a junior. He scored a career-high 39 points against Arizona State on February 10, 2005. DaRico Travone Hines (born February 17, 1978) is an American basketball coach. He serves as player development coach of the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball with the UCLA Bruins. Daniel Gadzuric (born February 2, 1978) is a Dutch-Serbian former professional basketball player. Gadzuric, a center, attended preparatory school at The Governor's Academy in Byfield, Massachusetts, before playing college basketball for the Bruins at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Professional career Gadzuric was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2002 NBA Draft. Jason Alan Kapono (born February 4, 1981) is an American former professional basketball player. He was the first National Basketball Association (NBA) player to lead the league in three-point field goal percentage in two consecutive seasons, and he also won the Three-Point Contest twice (2007, 2008). William Price Knight (January 20, 1979 – July 8, 2018) was an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins. His last professional stops were in Japan with Hamamatsu, Osaka, Hyogo and Yamagata. Early life He attended high school at Westchester High in Los Angeles.
