Edis Elkasević (born February 18, 1983) is a Bosnian-born Croatian athletics coach and retired shot putter. He won the 2002 World Junior Championships. He did not quite adapt to an international senior level, but competed at the 2004 Olympic Games and the 2005 World Championships without reaching the final. Representing the Auburn Tigers track and field team, Elkasević won the 2005 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the shot put. His personal best throw is 20.94 metres, achieved in June 2005 in Velenje. With the junior shot (6 kg) he has 21.96 metres, achieved in June 2002 in Zagreb. Omar El-Ghazaly
Omar Ahmed El Ghazaly (born 9 February 1984 in Cairo) is an Egyptian discus thrower. He originally played handball, while his siblings were on the Egyptian national swimming team. In 1999 he was recruited by former African shot put champion Nagui Asaad, who was setting up a throwing school that also included hammer thrower Mohsen El Anany and shot putter Yasser Fathy. After having a try with the different implements, he settled for the discus and rapidly made his debut in the national team. In 2000, aged 16, he was selected for the Egyptian team for the World Junior Championships, where he finished in 17th. That year he also won the Arab Championships with a throw of 53.07 m. At the 2002 World Junior Championships, a poor result of 10th was due to a shoulder injury. In 2003, his final year as a junior, he set a new junior world record of 65.88. Scott Martin (born 12 October 1982 in Wodonga, Victoria) is an Australian shot putter and discus throw competitor. He rose to prominence in a National Australia Bank advertisement promoting the 2006 Commonwealth Games; in the ad, Martin was shown taking part in a ballet class to improve his discus technique. He won a bronze medal in the men's shot put at the Games, and won gold in the men's discus throw. Scott Martin is currently the Australian and Oceania record holder with a throw of 21.26 metres in the Melbourne leg of the World Athletics Tour meeting in February 2008. He beat the previous record held by Justin Anlezark at 20.96 metres. In addition he is the 2006 Australian Shot Put champion, and he is a three-time discus champion (2004–06). His personal best throw is 21.02 meters – Portuguese record – was achieved at the 2012 European Cup Winter Throwing in Bar, Montenegro, where he won the gold medal.
