Jaakko Hintikka (floorball)
Kaarlo Jaakko Juhani Hintikka (12 January 1929 – 12 August 2015) was a Finnish philosopher and logician. Life and career Hintikka was born in Helsingin maalaiskunta (now Vantaa). In 1953, he received his doctorate from the University of Helsinki for a thesis entitled ''Distributive Normal Forms in the Calculus of Predicates''. He was a student of Georg Henrik von Wright. Hintikka was a Junior Fellow at Harvard University (1956-1969), and held several professorial appointments at the University of Helsinki, the Academy of Finland, Stanford University, Florida State University and finally Boston University from 1990 until his death. He was the prolific author or co-author of over 30 books and over 300 scholarly articles, Hintikka contributed to mathematical logic, philosophical logic, the philosophy of mathematics, epistemology, language theory, and the philosophy of science. Norway's Bandy Association ( no, Norges Bandyforbund) is the governing body for the sports of bandy, floorball and field hockey in Norway. History Norwegian bandy was originally organised by the Football Association of Norway, but an independent federation for the 'winter football' was established in 1920. In the first years, this was called ''Norges Ishockeyforbund'', because bandy was called ''ishockey'' (ice hockey) back then, since it is a form of hockey played on ice, but when the Canadian sport of ice hockey came to Norway, the international name bandy was adopted for what was actually bandy, and the term ''ishockey'' was reserved for what now is called ice hockey. The International Floorball Federation (IFF) is the worldwide governing body for the sport of floorball. It was founded on 12 April 1986 in Huskvarna, Sweden, by representatives from the national floorball associations of Finland, Sweden and Switzerland. Mika Kohonen
Mika Kohonen (born May 10, 1977) is a Finnish floorball player. He currently plays for FC Helsingborg, a club in the Swedish Super League (men's floorball), Swedish Super League. He has also played for Balrog IK in Swedish Super League (men's floorball), SSL and Happee in Salibandyliiga. He has also been a part of Men's national floorball team of Finland, Finland's national floorball team for many years. He had his own line of floorball sticks, called MK29, which were released by floorball company Karhu (sports brand), Karhu. In a poll conducted by the Swedish magazine Innebandymagazinet, reporters and national team coaches have voted Kohonen the world's best floorball player for five times; in 2005, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Johan Markus Davidsson (born January 6, 1976) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player, who played last with HV71 in the Swedish Hockey League, SHL. He was a long-time Elitserien/SHL player and captain of HV71 for eleven seasons, with which he has won the Swedish championship four times. Playing career Davidsson wore jersey number 76 and was the captain of HV71. In 2005 Davidsson renewed his contract with HV71 until the end of season 2009–10. He is regarded as an able skater with a good eye for the game and is as good as a playmaker as a scorer. He has got fine puck control but lacks the physical aspects of the game to fit in NHL. Morten Andersen (born 19 August 1960), nicknamed the "Great Dane", is a Danish former American football placekicker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 25 seasons, most notably with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. Following a career from 1982 to 2007, Andersen holds the NFL record for regular season games played at 382. He also ranks second in field goals (565) and points scored (2,544). In addition to his league accomplishments, he is the Saints' all-time leading scorer at 1,318 points. Andersen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017 and, along with Jan Stenerud, is one of only two exclusive placekickers to receive the honor.
