''1st Rank Raju'' is a 2015 Indian Kannada comedy drama film written and directed by Naresh Kumar HN in his debut, and produced by V. K. Manjunath. It features Gurunandan and Apoorva Gowda in the lead roles. The rest of the cast includes Tanishka Kapoor, Sadhu Kokila, Ananth Nag, Achyut Rao, Manadeep Rai, Giri Mahesh and Master Chinmai. The film's music director Kiran Ravindranath.The director remade the film in Telugu in 2019 with the same title. Synopsis Film explores the importance of the academic qualification in life. Gurumurthy ( kn, ಗುರುನಂದನ್), is an Indian film and television actor working in Kannada cinema. After having worked in small roles in the television series, he rose to fame with the popular series ''Lakumi'' aired on the Asianet Suvarna. Following this, he made his big screen lead debut with ''Cyber Yugadol Navayuva Prema Kavyam'' (2014). Yogaraj Bhat (born 8 October 1972) is an Indian Kannada film-maker, director, screenwriter, lyricist and producer. He is most known for the 2006 film ''Mungaru Male''. The film recorded the highest box-office collections in the history of Kannada cinema at the time of its release and the longest running film at a multiplex. Jayanth Kaikini (born 24 January 1955) is a poet, short story writer, playwright, columnist in Kannada and a lyricist in Kannada Cinema. Karthik (born 7 November 1980) is an Indian playback singer and composer. Karthik started his professional singing career as a backing vocalist and has since been working as a playback singer.
