1999–2000 Cypriot Fourth Division
The 1999–2000 Cypriot Fourth Division was the 15th season of the Cypriot fourth-level Association football, football league. MEAP Nisou won their 1st title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 1999–2000 Cypriot Fourth Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The first three teams were promoted to the 2000–01 Cypriot Third Division and the last three teams were relegated to regional leagues. However, in the summer, after the end of the championship, Evagoras Paphos merged with APOP Paphos to form AEP Paphos F.C., AEP Paphos (AEP took the place of APOP in the 2000–01 Cypriot First Division. Cypriot Fourth Division
The Cypriot Fourth Division ( el, Τέταρτη Κατηγορία) was the fourth tier association football, football league competition in Cyprus, ran by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league were promoted to the Cypriot Third Division, and the lowest finishing teams were relegated to the amateur leagues. History The Cypriot Fourth Division started the 1985–86 football season as the fourth level of the Cypriot football. The decision was taken by CFA on 23 July 1985. The first eight seasons the championship was split into three or four geographical groups, representing the Districts of Cyprus. From 1993–94 Cypriot Fourth Division, 1993–94 season until 2014–15 Cypriot Fourth Division, 2014–15 season, the championship was held as a single division. Lakatamia ( el, Λακατάμια ; tr, Lakadamya) is a southwestern suburb of Nicosia, Cyprus. In terms of population, Lakatamia municipality is the third largest municipality in Nicosia district and the fifth largest municipality in Cyprus (after Limassol, Strovolos, Nicosia and Larnaca). Elpida Xylofagou is a Cypriot football club based in the village of Xylofagou in Larnaca district. The club, which was established in 1959, currently competes in the Cypriot Second Division, after a successful campaign in the Cypriot Third Division, from which it gains the promotion.
