The 1999 UCI Women's Road World Cup was the second edition of the UCI Women's Road World Cup. It consisted of nine rounds: in addition to the six rounds in 1998 that were all retained there were the New Zealand World Cup, the Primavera Rosa and La Flèche Wallonne Féminine. UCI Women's Road World Cup
The UCI Women's Road Cycling World Cup was a season-long road bicycle competition for women organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale between 1998–2015. This competition consisted of a series (which has varied from 6 to 12 events) of races linked together, not only by a common designation, but also by a yearly overall points competition. Each World Cup race was a one-day event, with courses ranging from relatively flat, criterium-like courses, to those which have much climbing, as exemplified by La Flèche Wallonne Féminine which ends on the famed Mur de Huy climb with several sections exceeding 15% grades. Liberty Classic
The Liberty Classic was an annual women's bicycle race held from 1994 to 2012, simultaneously with the Philadelphia International Championship. The 57.6 mile race consisted of four laps of a 14.4 mile circuit through Philadelphia with 5 climbs up the famous Manayunk Wall. It was part of the UCI Women's Road World Cup until 2001. From 2002, it was an Elite Women's Category 1 event under UCI race classifications. The Liberty Classic was the final leg of the inaugural 2006 Commerce Bank Triple Crown of Cycling for women. The Triple Crown was a one-week, 3-race circuit, with the three races taking place in the Eastern Pennsylvania cities of Allentown, Reading and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The opening race was the Lehigh Valley Classic, followed two days later by Reading Classic, with the Liberty Classic finale in Philadelphia three days after the Reading race. Catherine Marsal
Catherine Marsal (born 20 January 1971) is a French former racing cyclist. She has been World Champion four times and raced professionally around the world. At the age of 17 she was selected for the French Olympic Team for the first time. Since then, she represented her native country at four Summer Olympics: 1988, 1992, 1996, and 2000. Marsal retired from cycling in 2005 when she was recruited by Team SATS Cycling to become sports director for the Danish team. The team became number one on the UCI ranking. In April 2015 Marsal was hired by the Danish Cycling Union to be the national coach of the Danish female cycling team. Marsal currently works as a directeur sportif for UCI Women's Continental Team . Petra Rossner (born 14 November 1966) is a German cyclist, who won the gold medal in 3 km pursuit track cycling at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. In the same event she won the 1991 World Championships and finished second in 1989. Competing in road bicycle racing, she won the World Cup in 2002. She finished second in 2004, and finished third in the 1988 Giro d'Italia Femminile. During most of her career her primary focus was cyclo-cross racing, however, she has also won major road, track and mountain bike races.
