Poprad
Poprad (; hu, Poprád; german: Deutschendorf) is a city in northern Slovakia at the foot of the High Tatra Mountains, famous for its picturesque historic centre and as a holiday resort. It is the biggest town of the Spiš region and the tenth largest city in Slovakia, with a population of approximately 50,000. Jiri ( ne, जिरी) is a municipality in Dolakha District in the Bagmati Province of central Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 13,638 people.. Jiri, which lies about 190 kilometers from Kathmandu, is the main gateway to the Everest Region. Almost all the Everest expeditions, including the one led by famous climber John Hunt, Edmund Hillary had passed through Jiri. John Gadret (born 22 April 1979) is a French former professional racing cyclist in cyclo-cross and road racing, currently racing for the USO Bruay-la-Buissière amateur team. He became a stagiaire for in 2003 before turning professional with the team in 2004. Career In 2004 he became national cyclo-cross champion of France for the first time. At this stage he was specialized in the cyclo-cross discipline but was beginning to perform well in stage races such as the Deutschland Tour. Gadret won again the French cyclo-cross championships. In the 2006 Giro d'Italia Gadret showed great potential in the mountains by finishing 7th, 6th and 5th on the three mountain stages. He crashed on the 18th stage and was forced to abandon with a broken collarbone. Timothy Johnson (born August 5, 1977, in Middleton, Massachusetts) is an American professional racing cyclist who has found success in cyclocross and road bicycle racing, and is one of only five male riders ( Jonathan Page was 2nd at worlds in 2007 and Matt Kelly was 1st at worlds in 1999 along with Danny Summerhill and Walker Ferguson) from the United States to stand on a UCI Cyclocross World Championships podium. Johnson has six career national championships – three Elite, two Espoir and one Junior – and a bronze medal from the UCI Cyclocross World Championships that he won in 1999 in Poprad, Slovakia.
