The 1999 Polish Speedway season was the 1999 season of motorcycle speedway in Poland. Individual Polish Individual Speedway Championship The 1999 Individual Speedway Polish Championship final was held on 20 August at Bydgoszcz. Golden Helmet The 1999 Golden Golden Helmet ( pl, Turniej o Złoty Kask, ZK) organised by the Polish Motor Union (PZM) was the 1999 event for the league's leading riders. Jacek Rempała
Jacek Rempała (born 16 February 1971) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career Rempała represented Poland during the 1991 Speedway World Team Cup. He rode in Poland for 27 years and spent much of it with Unia Tarnów. He won the 1991 Silver Helmet and the 1993 Bronze Helmet. He first rode in Britain when he signed for the Ipswich Witches for the 1992 British League season. He did not return to Britain again until 2006, when he joined the Berwick Bandits. Family His brothers, Marcin Rempala, Grzegorz Rempała and Tomasz Rempała were also speedway riders. His son Krystian Rempala was tragically killed in a speedway accident while riding in Poland during 2016. Zenon Kasprzak (born 10 May 1962) is a former international speedway rider from Poland. Speedway career Kasprzak reached the final of the Speedway World Championship in the 1988 Individual Speedway World Championship. Roman Jankowski
Roman Jankowski (born 5 October 1957 in Kościan, Poland) is a speedway rider active from 1976 until 2006. He is a former Polish Champion, having won the title in 1981 and again in 1988. Roman has also represented Poland at the World Team Cup. He rode for the Hackney Hawks in 1980 and 1981. Currently he is the youth coach and manager of Unia Leszno. Roman's three sons, Łukasz, Marcin and Norbert are all speedway riders. Piotr Świst
Piotr Świst (born June 20, 1968 in Poland) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. His surname "Świst" means 'whizz' in Polish. Career Świst spent his first 13 seasons in Poland with Stal Gorzów Wielkopolski from 1985 through to 1997. In that time he won a silver medal in the 1987 Individual Speedway Junior European Championship and three Polish U-21 Championships in 1987, 1988 and 1989. Additionally he won the Golden Helmet in 2008 and the Polish Pairs Championship in 1992. On three occasions he reached the podium of the Polish Individual Speedway Championship (1993, 1995 and 2002). He raced twice in the United Kingdom for the Arena Essex Hammers in 2005 and the Poole Pirates in 2007. Sebastian Ułamek (born 20 November 1975) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. He was a European individual Champion. Career Ułamek rode in the Polish leagues for his home club Włókniarz Częstochowa from 1992 until 1998 and then Gdańsk from 1999 to 2000 (the 2000 season was in the Ekstraliga). He began to establish himself as one of the leading riders and participated in his first Grand Prix series during the 1998 Speedway Grand Prix season. He made his British league debut in 2000, when riding several times for Wolverhampton Wolves before returning to Poland to ride for Wrocław. On 12 August 2001 he won the Continental Final, which formed part of the 2002 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification. He aslso won a silver medal with Poland at the 2001 Speedway World Cup.
