1999 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship
The 1999 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 90th staging of the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork GAA, Cork County Board in 1909. The draw for the opening fixtures took place on 11 December 1998. The championship began on 18 June 1999 and ended on 21 November 1999. It was the last championship to be played using a straight knock-out format. On 21 November 1999, Ballincollig GAA, Ballincollig won the championship after a 1–14 to 2–09 defeat of Blarney GAA, Blarney in the final at Páirc Uà Chaoimh. It was their seventh championship title overall and their first title since 1967 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship, 1967. Ballincollig's Podsie O'Mahony was the championship's top score wit 3-24. Tracton GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the parish of Tracton in Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club is a member of the Carrigdhoun division of Cork GAA. The club fields teams in both Gaelic football and hurling, though it has won most success in hurling. The club's pitch is in the village of Minane Bridge. History The club was founded in 1888, only 4 years after the foundation of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The pitch located at Ahane in Minane Bridge has been Tracton's permanent home since 1973. Glen Rovers GAA
Glen Rovers is a Cork (city), Cork-based Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Blackpool, Cork, Ireland. The club was founded in 1916 and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. They were Cork senior hurling champions in 2015 and 2016, having won their first title in 26 years in 2015. They retained the championship in 2016, when they beat Erin's Own in the final. Ballincollig () is a suburban town within the administrative area of Cork city in Ireland. It is located on the western side of Cork city, beside the River Lee on the R608 regional road. Lisgoold GAA Club is a gaelic football, hurling and ladies football club based in the village of Lisgoold, County Cork, Ireland. Cloughduv GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association based in the village of Cloughduv in County Cork, Ireland. The club is a member of the Muskerry division of Cork GAA. The club fields hurling team only. There are two Gaelic football clubs in the parish (Kilmurry parish) - Canovee and Kilmurry - and there is often an overlap of players between the different clubs.
